Penn State won't ever make the playoffs with James Franklin at head coach. Franklin CHOKES in big games and makes the worst play calls in big moments. Coming from a Penn State fan
I'm a USC fan and my dad was a Michigan fan so you know I had my eyes on Penn State especially after they beat Ohio State, I think they would've gave Alabama a much better game in the playoff than Washington did because they had big body receivers like Clemson did and their defense was more built around run stopping as to where Washington's was more geared towards pass stopping. From what I remember this team's D Line was good, not great, just a solid good, their linebacker unit was great imo, but damn their secondary was atrocious 😂😂 when USC vs Penn State was announced I knew it would be a shootout because we were a lot like them, not a very good secondary but a QB and weapons who could tear secondaries up. Fowler hates Ohio state and jabs at us all the time. “It was very close” BS it was blatant pass interference you moron. Missed calls happen. We don’t truly know if he would have caught the pass or not. If he does it likely changes the outcome. Really it was a good play by the defender from a strategy angle. If he doesn’t interfere it’s likely a huge gain and basically at minimum a field goal attempt to tie. If it gets called pass interference it’s 15 and a first down. There wasn’t an eternity of time left so that wouldn’t have hurt Penn state that much either. However Ohio state made the playoff in 2016 with this being their only loss so the loss really helped Penn state and the big ten conference as a whole more than it hurt Ohio state.

The PSU coverage player started the process of a tackle almost before the ball was delivered and that small arm swipe is what prohibited the receiver from making the catch. That's a penalty.
look at the hands to face and face mask by OsU lineman on that play i believe, they got away with that on the line so imo the no call was fair due to that
There were several plays in that game that could have been called pass interference on both teams and they just weren't calling it that night. As long as they call it the same for both teams it doesn't matter.
also on the blocked fg, #52 for psu on the left side of the d-line, literally grabs the buckeye blocker and pulls him toward his body; amazingly, that's the created lane #2 ran to and thru to block the fg, which was run back toward the endzone at beaver where the visitors sit (i was way up there in the 2nd deck). a perfectly schemed, illegal unless they don't call it play. ;). would the nitts have still pulled out the win? quite possibly... they did have some 4th qtr momentum. but the blocked fg (i didn't realize the pulldown til the next day) and the non-pi call (which was plainly seen from not just my vantage point but the entire stadium on the press box side of the field) certainly didn't help. but the environment was certainly very similar to the 1st white out night game between these two that i attended in '05, in which penn state's defense was fantastic in that 17-10 win. looking forward to returning to state college on 11/2

I cried after this game lmao
What a horrendous performance on this night by both special teams
As a Miami fan, I hate OSU...however, I'm a football fan 1st above all and that missed PI call had a major impact in that game. I saw it before the instant replay, and once they replayed it, that one was BIG. Defender was early with the arm rake.
Ohio state loses so little to Big10 competition you can remember the year that their team beat Ohio State because it happens like once or twice every 25 years.
I can remember every Ohio state regular season loss since 2015
Ohio State hasn't lost a regular season game in years! No other team can say that...
Devastating fact for EbbTide fans is neither ClumsyOn nor EbbTide can ever beat Ohio State without lots of help from refs, flu, targeting injuries, etc...
@@BuzzLOLOL 2015: Michigan State
2016: Penn State
2017: Oklahoma and Iowa
2018: Perdue
@@doxasnike4789 - Weirdo Meyer is gone... whole new Ohio State now...
@Christopher Smith - Ohio State missing 55 players against EbbTide, will always beat EbbTide when at full strength...
Ohio State was in process of shutting out Clemson 42 - 0 in 2019 until SEC refs stepped in a dozen times to help Clemson!
th-cam.com/video/RZ97OWxvcHo/w-d-xo.html
They didn't want super powerful Ohio State playing their LSU in next game, they wanted weak Clemson!
2020 with Big-12 refs Ohio State obliterated Clemson again...
LSU had their way with entire SEC in 2019 because they had an Ohio State-trained QB, when he left, they dropped back to more usual 5 - 5...
Fortunately for Ohio State they always have Ohio State-trained QBs...
Ohio State was missing 55 players in last game vs Alabama...
Devastating fact for EbbTide, TTUN, and ClumsyOn fans is neither ClumsyOn nor EbbTide nor TTUN can ever beat Ohio State now without lots of help from refs, injuries, flu, intentional targeting injuries, plandemics, etc...
B1G is Toughest Conference now with MOST Ranked teams in CFB (6 - 8) and in CBB (9 - 11)...
Everyone talks about the NFL talent in this, i think about all the guys who didnt make it. How do you go from living moments like that to going back to the real world and have a normal job, must be so hard
They haven’t beat Ohio State since this
The Big Ten has gone from a powerhouse to OSU's PR department. The Buckeyes shouldn't get into the playoff nearly as much as they do, but the way they just steamroll the rest of the conference makes them look better by comparison.
@@CharlesUrban they steam roll more than just the teams in their conference
@@coltonjones2398 eh.
@@CharlesUrban The Buckeyes shouldn't get into the playoffs as much as they do? They usually go undefeated or have 1 loss and they've won the championship like 5 years in a row. What a dumbass thing to say
@@lukea2902 My point is that they get that undefeated record by beating awful teams.
There was so much nfl talent in this game
No doubt! What a game, too!
Both of them were stacked in hindsight:
Saquon, Gesicki, Godwin, McSorley, Sanders... not to mention Curtis Samuel, McLaurin, Ward, Bosa, Lattimore, and Hooker for OSU.
Why can’t Chris Fowler be like this in ea CFB 25 😭
What a crazy night in sports that was. Cubs go to the World Series, this upset, AND the Mahomes vs Mayfield shootout in Lubbock
anyone not gonna notice at the beginning of the video smu was beating huston 21-0 💀
Still get goosebumps remembering this game
This is a good channel. This series is fuckin amazing.
Throwing it a dime like he ain't even trying.
Ohhhhhhh I’ve been waiting for this one.
Imagine the chills from hearing the fans on the block field goal
Wow McLaurin, Samuel, and Campbell was the WR group?
What a great team saquon mike geseki and the goat trace mcsoarly
NFL names I caught:
Saquon Barkley
Mike Gesicki
Trace Mcsorely
Terry Mclaurin
Chris Godwin
Parris Campbell
Curtis Samuel

Nick Bosa
Miles Sanders
Marshon Lattimore
Troy Apke
Noah Brown
Whiteout at Penn State is unreal
That fade for #12 Penn state was nice
This was really the restart of penn state after the Sandusky stuff
I agree. In the Bill O'Brian (is a hack) days there was the 4ot thriller vs Michigan and that was their first big win since
But this was the true restart
@@otaviofrnazario yea BoB held the ship afloat frankiln rebuilt it
