  • Welcome to my latest tech review where I dive deep into the Shargeek/ Sharge Disk a USB C SSD enclosure! ⚡ Unboxing & First Impressions:
    Get an eye-popping close-up of the Disk from every angle. See it, feel it (almost!), and decide if its sleek design is what you were expecting.

    Hands-On Comparison: Can't head to the store to test it out? No worries! This video brings the Disk right to your screen, giving you a tactile, up-close feel so you can decide if it's comfy in your hands.
    ⚖️ I do reviews how I would like to see them. Honest and objective, focusing solely on the Disk's strengths and weaknesses, no sugarcoating here or paid sponsorship.
    My mission? To hopefully help you make a for or against decision for this little SSD enclosure.

    For reference, it is indeed 10 Gb/s. Because 10 Gb is 1 GB in terms of conversion (bit -> byte).

    This looks very cool! I would get it for my Steam Deck if it had pass through charging.

      That is a missing feature from so many SSDs! I need to tell Shargeek/Sharge this!

      YT recommended a video that had this feature, Hagibis Magnetic M.2 2230. It's meant to stick behind iPhones, but works well for steam with pass through charging.

    I reviewed this recently. I really wanted to like it. It’s a nice, small, attractive drive, but the case design is awful - having to open the door to use etc. I get there’s no way round this but still. More concerning is the lack of reliability with Windows. It wasn’t detected half the time but works perfect on MAC.
    Ended up returning mine for refund in the end.

      Yeah I often just take the whole door off because it flaps around. And being a mostly Mac user I haven’t had enough time with windows to see it be so unreliable!

      Interesting that it worked perfect on your MAC as mine didn't recognize it.

    Nice one! How does this fit on Macbook Air?

    • @mrtwomore
      @mrtwomore  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As long as your MacBook Air has a USB-C port then it should be perfect. If you have the older MacBook Air then you can still use it however you will just need to get an USB-A to USB-C adapter. Hope that helps! Ese

    Question isn't related to video content, but rather video editing. Why letterbox the video in 16:9, vs just cropping it to 21:9? Would look much better on YT

    • @mrtwomore
      @mrtwomore  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s a fair point and thanks for taking the time to comment. The answers is I was experimenting lol as I thought I might get maybe 20 people to view this video haha. But I agree 21:9 is better and I should just keep the letterbox to cinematic masterpieces! Cheers again Ese

      @@mrtwomore all good mate! I'm probably a small minority on an ultra wide display, but actually viewing a 21:9 video just hits right 🤌
