I'm going to start putting double bins on every one of mine cuz that is the biggest fault I have seen is you can clear the break over with the skid but as soon as you do you get up against those links man
@@VermontScaleCustoms I'll get some Pictures an videos if i can of the Hobby shop. I havn't been inside one for 36 years. This one i found close to me, 45 min. They are on facebook with races on there track. The other Store doesn;t have any. It's about 45 min away also. I have Really bad PTSD an Anxiety, Social Functions are hard. Run in buy my RC an Run out. Drive home, 30 min, Charging in car usb, Like a Child on Christmas Hahahahaha
Yeah, I've heard of them. While everyone is rushing over to use their stuff I've been very happy with Rockwolf ESCs. I'm not chasing trends in this hobby anymore. I stopped that shit a long time ago.
I haven't built mine yet, still have a few builds, but will likely use those axles. Question: is this rig one that is easily modded? As i look over it, it doesn't seem so modifiable.. everything seems set. I know there are kits, of course, but would you say that "parts fitment" is somewhat proprietary with these? An SCX24 is like an Erector Set nowadays. Maybe this one not so much? Ugh, sorry, i really should just dig in and see. I build some crazy rigs, but mostly with scx24 parts and others that have at least a little compatibility.
Why mod perfection? The whole idea behind these is that they were well engineered as a complete unit. The rails, skid, towers, cross bars, all of it, add up to the most solid 24 scale you can build. At that point the variables are the servo, your axle choice, and wheels and tires. Shocks, too, I guess. And since the Super 8 is very much a part of the total package, there's not much left to mod. It's like the TF2 that way. I wish there was a leaf spring conversion kit that existed for them, honestly. I'd love to see what one of these did as a very well-scaled leafer.
@@VermontScaleCustoms have you reached out to them to suggest leaf springs? When i bought mine, they sent a message out asking for suggestions on products, upgrades, and such. Leaf springs do seem appropriate. I would not go so far to say "perfection", I'm not sold on that long ass rear end, as i have driven a few of these now. But it is a "unique" package, a specific drive experience that does quite well. After initially asking you, and your description of its drive style and how you gotta drive it a bit different, i went back and drove my buddy's some more. Definitely drives better once you start learning how it wants to drive. So that's why i bought one. Anyway, i made a number of suggestions, they must've been like "woah, easy there Tesla" lol I really like the Mazz Cheat Code chassis. What i love is being able to take a chassis, and build up from there. Mazz is a good guy, and has built a great platform to build on. So I've got two Cheat Code builds I'm working on, and a 4X4 trailer build, once I'm done with those I'll start in on this LGRP Comp Chassis. I bought it because of its quality, and unique drive experience, but as far as being a custom build.. I've been thinking that i may just appreciate having something different than my other builds. I've got a few builds that i purchased off of ebay. They were already upgraded in basic "bolt-on-normie-style", and it's nice to be able to test my builds against average builds, but at this point those are the rigs i hand out to people when we have a BBQ... it's always a fun time, and i don't like to let them drive my builds as often until i see they won't break it as likely.
The Comp 24 would benefit from a redesign that has an angled skid and ultra high clearance links. The length is good. I like rigs with long rear ends. It helps for climbing. Sucks for turning and going downhill but the ups are better, for sure. The just need to mold the sliders to match the profile that introduces. I've only reached out to Little Guy once, about a year ago, looking to find if they had any interest in making an MOA axle. They declined. Perfection, for me, comes in many forms. I own over 40 rc cars, most of them built or highly modified from stock. Some of those didn't hold up, and couldn't past their modifications, as the platforms sometimes weren't designed to handle the stresses. Being metal from top to bottom was the chef's kiss for me with this chassis/build. This Comp 24 got built at a time when I was full rejection of 3D printing. The original 3D parts that come with these actually altered my opinion about the poor quality of printing. Once I got it and started swapping stuff over, this thing sort of rises to a different level for me. Isn't it crazy how what is considered bolt-on and pretty much run of the mill parts used to be considered top notch upgrading just a couple of years ago. This hobby has progressed a lot in the short 4+ years I've been into it.
@@VermontScaleCustoms ohh, not a long rear end like that, i meant the overhang behind the rear wheels. Sorry for the confusion. I just want them to shorten that up, it's just too much. I can use it at times to my advantage, but overall want it shorter. Yeah this hobby has come a long way. So many options, so many more parts since after i left and came back. Crazy, and awesome! It's like Christmas morning with an Erector Set now.
Hello,
Wonderful again !👍
Greetings Seven🖖
Thank you, Seven!🖖😎
That Rig just goes an goes. Straight up. Cool Video.
Thanks! It can definitely do some stuff.
This right here grabs and climbs 😍definitely a tough capable rig🤘✌️
Nicely weighted with Trench Kings. This truck is a monster for what it is.
Dope lines 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thanks, man. I'm busy looking at MN82 upgrade stuff at the moment trying to figure out what to get.
Awesome car, very nice course. I like the sound of the gearing, good job! 💯👍👍👍
Thing is a monster. One of the best SCX24-based trucks made, in my opinion.
I did that CV fix too. Holding up well, thanks!
That's cool. I always wonder who tries any of my fixes.
What did you use for pin material?
@VermontScaleCustoms I grabbed a length of HSS round solid off ebay and cut to length while watching your vid 😉
That's awesome. That really makes me happy knowing someone actually did it and it worked out for them.
I think it is a badass truck I think you did awesome brother
Glad you approve!

Learn to do segmented arc bends. They're smoother.
5 or 6 more days. Yayyyy :) Get my Rig.
Getting close!

Agreed, yeah, if they did a bobbed version of this from the factory with an angled skid and the wheelbase it has? Line killer all day long.
