You're so right, she's herself, she's unique ! I don't usually listen to that kind of music, but she's the exception, because of her amazing voice, all the emotions though it... Thanks for that special reaction ❤
Bienvenido al mundo de Lara Fabián única en su clase, te recomiendo Broken Vow, Jesuis Malade, You're not from here... para nombrar algunos grandes ❤❤ Gracias !!!
Lara’s music was mainly on the “EuroPop Rock” Chart. She throws her hair around just like a true Rock Star! She has some guitar featured in her music. ✌🏼
Lara is100 percent better than any of those other performers..she lives her songs and becomes one with each and every one. .lara pours pure emotion and feeling from her soul into her performances...she captures your senses blows your mind and leaves you wanting more and more...she takes to outer space and back with every word note and sigh...she is a musical muse...
A wonderful reaction by you for not only a great singer but beautiful song,I know the classical composer Albinoni? an his Adagio in G Minor one of my favorite pieces
I hate when people reduce her to other divas just because she’s not in the US industry and is not as huge. She’s not a second Céline or Barbra or whatever…no matter how good they are, it’s so reductive. As you said she’s unique. This woman is the best selling female belgian artist of all time, one of the best vocalists and storytellers ever who inspired many artists, is a multilingual songwriter, composer, musician, extremely musically educated…she’s her own person and one of the most talented people the industry has ever known. You should react to Je suis malade or Caruso.
my understanding of Adagio is that it means the music piece that is the achievement of a lifetime for a composer. So the lover of her life that she is reaching for is named Adagio.
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert. But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar thru her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace" used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera topped the charts for months. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these). Out of my mind I can list: • Adagio, • Mademoiselle Hyde, • Know, • Love of tired swans She also wrote the lyrics of his song « Your Love ». And she covered « Love is like a dream » before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva) They also performed Ti Amo Cosi together with Aida Garafulina. This is a song that she performed originally with Dmitriy Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs: • Floor Jansen (Adagio), • Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), • Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), • Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), • Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), • Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), • Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow) • Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade), • Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), • Forestella (Je suis Malade), • .... Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara. If you explore more of her songs, you will soon be hooked, I'm sure.
She's definitely one of a kind! Tell me who else sings that incredibly in multiple languages... Get outta here with the nonsense.. This woman can't be touched.. But hey listen.... congratulations for your reaction, first of all you are the only one who recognized the adagio di albinoni, modified by her and on which she wrote the text. exactly she is unique she could also sing an advertisement for a detergent and still give great emotions, she is also a songwriter, she writes music and lyrics, there are so many songs to hear. what is incredible is her underestimation due to the record companies and celine dion's entourage. she deserves a lot more and she's also an exceptional person
Lara Fabian is DIMASH idol. ! Now you can tell why . React to her performance of the song “ Je suis malade “ means “ I am sick”. You will witness her passion and emotion. Thank you for the great reaction. 100 likes. Greetings from Vietnam 🇻🇳.
J'adore vos réactions 🥰. Je suis d'accord avec vous, Lara est Lara et personne d'autre 😊. C'est une chanteuse magique, une personne plus incroyable encore 👍. Je suis fan 😍. A+ 💞
When Lara sings she totally immerses herself in the emotions of the song. Listen to her sing Je Suis Malade. It is the most powerful performance that I have ever seen!
Congratulation my friend. I am impressed you are the first one that has recognized Adagio by Albinoni. You should be proud. And yes she is a World class singer.
Best living female vocalist in the world. None come even close! “Lara with love” concert that Adagio was from also produced many other great songs and she co-wrote many of them. She also can belt them with the same emotional impact in 12 languages!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( TH-cam “ Lara sings in 12 languages). Your next song should be the last one from the “ Lara with love” concert titled “ Broken Vow”because in the intro she explains how she came to write the song. It deals with betrayal but forgiveness. I tear up every time I listen to it. All love, Al
She is the real beast live. Her performances from the same concert as this song are insane! "Je Suis Malade" in French --> th-cam.com/video/5kp0dw4MuWs/w-d-xo.html "You're not from here" --> th-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/w-d-xo.html "Perdere l'Amore" in Italian --> th-cam.com/video/jJ_k43OOsXU/w-d-xo.html "Caruso" in Italian --> th-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/w-d-xo.html
The music is an arrangement of the classical piece "Adagio" from Tomaso Albinoni (17-18th Century). And she wrote lyrics to put onto it. Masterclass it is !
Wow, great job!!! - Yes, she wrote the words for this timeless classic. Oh...and she is the greatest singer\performer\artist of the last 30 years. You asked what happened to her since the video. She has been cited as "a" or "the" key influence to most of the young killer singers on the world stage. She has gone on to build a massive worldwide audience, stil crushing it, sadly not quit as much in America, and is widely recognized as the Queen, long may she reign.
Yes this is Albinoni. She is not the first artist to have lyrics put to this most exceptional piece of classical music, which has long been a beloved favorite of mine all of my life. Her's is by far superior in every respect to all the others, but Sarah Brightman has a beautiful and masterful version of it as well entitled "Anytime, Anywhere." Her's is a gorgeous and atmospheric version and well worth reacting to. But the lyric of this one are so much more raw and desperate, and the band's performance of this piece is both unique but also a reverent treatment of the original. The combination of these factors has produced an unbeatable and unparalleled masterpiece that never fails to shatter my heart and draw out the tears. Tears at the beauty, tears of pain, of empathy, of respect and admiration.
Yes she is no one else than herself. Good point. She has a totally different timbre in her voice and the fact that she can sing high pitched notes doesn't make her a Celine or Mariah copy. Tomaso Albinoni wrote the melody that this is built on. So beautiful. Good reaction and you should for sure listen to more of her! I post a suggestion soon. Thanks!
Thanks for the reaction Amin. Many of us had similar reactions hearing her sing for the first time. This recording is from a made for TV concert, "From Lara with Love," recorded in 1999 in Montreal. So although 12 years ago was a good guess, this is from about 22 years ago instead. Lara is living in Canada with her husband and daughter and is planning a concert tour starting this summer. One of my new favorites videos on TH-cam is "Lara Fabian - Tango | Live 2002 HD |" Link: th-cam.com/video/9p1UrKzYti0/w-d-xo.html
This particular performance, in fact, is almost a quarter century old. With respect to drawing comparisons between Fabian and others, if one is to 'go there', then the name Barbara Streisand would certainly warrant a place among the mix; well before any mention of Mariah Carey be made - that's for sure or even Whitney Houston for that matter.
Those 3 names, Mariah, Celine, and Whitney are referred to as the vocal trinity to many. That's why those 3 singers were named. In my opinion Lara Fabian Trumps them all!
I subscribed because you recognized this as an adaption of Albinoni's Adagio in G minor! Lara is a genius in my view to take a classic and write beautiful lyrics as well as perform the hell out if it! This is an amazing rabbit hole you're going down. Enjoy it! As this performance was live, don't be tempted to react to her official videos! She is always better live
Great reaction. But you only scratched the surface. If you explore her songs further you will understand what I mean. Yes this is Albinoni’s Adagio and she wrote lyrics on it in english and italian. It has been covered later by many great artists (Dimash, Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Giulia Falcone, … and Shirley Bassey !) but none match Lara’s storytelling. This song has 2 meaning : woman awaiting for her love / artist awaiting the hod of inspiration. I will post a separate comment about it and another one to detail Lara’s background, career and the great influence she has on the new generation of vocalists (she is Dimash’s absolute idol and a great influence to Diana Ankudinova for instance). As a next step I recommend you to check this playlist from the same concert (an epic collection of masterpieces with full orchestra) th-cam.com/play/PLV-BfzP9ln4xyPy8l43ag7hd20S9PeNiE.html I recommend you to listen to Je suis Malade, Caruso, Broken Vow, You are not from Here, Perdere l’Amore and Love by Grace She is not Celine, Mariah or Whitney. She is more than that 😃 As a vocalist, songwriter or performer. One level above these 😂
LARA (not Laura) with links: Lara Fabian is a Canadian of Belgium birth and Italian/Franco/Flemish cultural heritage. Lara spent a decade in a Brussels Conservatory studying piano, composition, and voice. Lara is a full lyric soprano with a vocal range that spans three octaves (A5, B4, BB4, C3, C5, C#5, D5, E5, EB5, F5, F#5, G5) in live performances. She is multilingual; in fact, she speaks Italian, French, Spanish, and English and has sung in 12. Lara, who describes herself as a songwriter/singer, has sold over 30 million records and plays to sold-out venues worldwide. She lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with her husband and daughter. A “50 at 50” - fifty live performances celebrating her 50th birthday had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 but will be rescheduled as “The Best of Lara”. It's so weird that I started to listen to her music 20 years ago(yes, when I was 6,my father played her songs to me),and "vocal coaches" and "music experts" are discovering her now.It says a lot about those "coaches" and "experts".
ADAGIO original Lara... Sing in English, français, italiano, spanich, ruso, her speack 4. Plis reacts JE SUIS MALADE, BROKEN VOW, YOU'RE NOT FROM HERE, CARUSO, REQUIEM POUR UN FOU with Jhonny Haliday singer Star français. She High note time 19.7 seconds... Is excellent.
Bonjour Amin, thank you for this very sweet reaction to Lara Fabian. As she is also a song writer, she put words on Albinoni's Adagio. She also sings it in Italian. Check it. She did not pursue a career in the USA but she is a real star in Europe and Canada. She sings in French, Italian, Spanish and English. She resides now in Montréal wher she is fully adopted with love. She is now over 50 years old. I suggest you watch very recent performances from her. Par amour is one of her recent songs. Here is a piano voice live performance. th-cam.com/video/-aPARDwf2ug/w-d-xo.html Je t'aime is one of her major hits. This live performance was broadcasted last fall in a Radio-Canada show in whici she was invited to sing for a young artist that admires her. th-cam.com/video/7QH4yue9NZg/w-d-xo.html Merci from Montréal!
Plis reacts Lara Fabián in BROKEN VOW... YOU'RE NOT FROM HERE... CARUSO y REQUIEM POUR UN FOU con Jhonny Haliday singer francais ícono "the Elvis francais"
She’s the best live female singer I have heard with perhaps the exception being Whitney Houston. But in terms of vocal ability, agility, power and combining that with her storytelling, no one touches her! Not Mariah, Not Celine, No one!
The world's best vocalist ever, would be Dimash and you need to hear him sing this at I AM SINGER/CHINA - that's DIMASH - you'll be stunned ~ she congratulated Dimash on his performance of this song and, yes, she is the most remarkable feamle vocalist of today - she also has what Mariah Cary and others do not - class and dignity~
you guys should stop reviewing this Adagio performance from PBS show. All the people are reacting to the same video always, why ? The BEST video of "adagio live" to react to is: ADAGIO live at the World Music Awards Show 2001 HD : th-cam.com/video/YdOZ6Td0RP4/w-d-xo.html
Celine Dion’s staff was scared of Lara and was the reason she couldn’t penetrate the US market as planned. But she is a star in many countries. Thru Dimash, many others are rediscovering her.
worth a look Johnny Hallyday et Lara Fabian Requiem pour un fou.
Lara Fabian ❤🇧🇷
And, btw, she wrote the song. Dimash is a fan of her since he was a young boy.
You're so right, she's herself, she's unique ! I don't usually listen to that kind of music, but she's the exception, because of her amazing voice, all the emotions though it... Thanks for that special reaction ❤
👍
You have to see Lara Fabian with the song « Broken vow » and « Je suis malade » and « Caruso » and « Comme ils disent » ……..Merveilleux!
Bienvenido al mundo de Lara Fabián única en su clase, te recomiendo Broken Vow, Jesuis Malade, You're not from here... para nombrar algunos grandes ❤❤

She does’nt deserve to be compared with anyone. She’s underrated. No one can sing her song better than her.

In a class and level, never to be attained by any other artist.

Much appreciated dear friend ❤️🙏🏼
Best living female vocalist in the world.
None come even close!
“Lara with love” concert that Adagio was from also produced many other great songs and she co-wrote many of them. She also can belt them with the same emotional impact in 12 languages!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( TH-cam “ Lara sings in 12 languages).
Your next song should be the last one from the “ Lara with love” concert titled “ Broken Vow”because in the intro she explains how she came to write the song. It deals with betrayal but forgiveness.
I tear up every time I listen to it.
All love,
Al
SHE IS THE TOP ...
She is the real beast live. Her performances from the same concert as this song are insane!

She is an ARTIST, she is not just a singer (by the way, a superb one), she is an ARTIST. Thank you!
The music is an arrangement of the classical piece "Adagio" from Tomaso Albinoni (17-18th Century).
And she wrote lyrics to put onto it.
Masterclass it is !
It's impressive you recognized the classic music base. She wrote the lyrics to this version.
Lara is ONE OF A KIND. I would not compare her to anyone. Enjoy!!!
I've seen so many Lara Fabian reactions. Yours is one of my favourites. Please do more of hers. In particular, je suis malade.
Much appreciated, it's very kind of you, I'll definitely watch it 🙏🏼
да она очень КРАСИВАЯ,ШАРМ!!!!а когда поет прямо можно с ума сойти🙃🙃😇🥰СПАСИБО👍👍👍👍
Love Lara ❤
Wow, great reaction. God's angel
Lara❤❤❤❤
First time watching you. Great reaction. Love how you let the performance take you away. Lara is Master Class. Great comments and insight.
Much appreciated 🙏🏼
Thanks!
I enjoy your reaction 😁👍
Thanks for the reaction Amin. Many of us had similar reactions hearing her sing for the first time.
This recording is from a made for TV concert, "From Lara with Love," recorded in 1999 in Montreal.
So although 12 years ago was a good guess, this is from about 22 years ago instead. Lara is living
in Canada with her husband and daughter and is planning a concert tour starting this summer. One
of my new favorites videos on TH-cam is "Lara Fabian - Tango | Live 2002 HD |" Link:
th-cam.com/video/9p1UrKzYti0/w-d-xo.html
This particular performance, in fact, is almost a quarter century old.
With respect to drawing comparisons between Fabian and others, if one is to 'go there', then the name Barbara Streisand would certainly warrant a place among the mix; well before any mention of Mariah Carey be made - that's for sure or even Whitney Houston for that matter.
Those 3 names, Mariah, Celine, and Whitney are referred to as the vocal trinity to many. That's why those 3 singers were named. In my opinion Lara Fabian Trumps them all!
@@mjcole12 Those three names are vocal trinity to Americans, because they don't know a shit about what's happening outside their country.
Barbra is better than Mariah, Celine, and Whitney - and Lara is better than Barbra. There is no one like her on this planet.

Lara fabian- je suis malade
❤️🤟🤟👍👍❤️
Гениально
Я была на её концерте в Москве, это было божественно!!!
She's perfection at its best!
I also suggest his interpretation of 2 songs from the movie "Yentl" from his show in Montreal in 1999. It's a "jewel"!!! great art!
Yeah ! Thank you for sharing this masterpiece ! 😉
El matiz en la voz de lara...a mi parecer es unico
I subscribed because you recognized this as an adaption of Albinoni's Adagio in G minor! Lara is a genius in my view to take a classic and write beautiful lyrics as well as perform the hell out if it! This is an amazing rabbit hole you're going down. Enjoy it! As this performance was live, don't be tempted to react to her official videos! She is always better live
🙏🏻
Adagio is an old renaissance melod by Albinioni.
Great song! And her Italian version of the song is even better if possible. 😁
nice
As a next step I recommend you to check this playlist from the same concert (an epic collection of masterpieces with full orchestra) th-cam.com/play/PLV-BfzP9ln4xyPy8l43ag7hd20S9PeNiE.html
I recommend you to listen to Je suis Malade, Caruso, Broken Vow, You are not from Here, Perdere l’Amore and Love by Grace
She is not Celine, Mariah or Whitney. She is more than that 😃
As a vocalist, songwriter or performer. One level above these 😂
Dont forget to react to Je suis malade and caruso
And -Johnny Hallyday - Diego Bercy 92
Adaghio..... Is adagio, exactly as you see
Amin "bon choix"......écoute également "Tu es mon autre" en français

Caro @Amin is here.....sei davanti ad una Dea!C'è poco da aggiungere...
Please react to Je Suis Malade, live in concert with English Subs.
Is excellent.
the greatest French singer with concerts as emotional as they are breathtaking: Mylène Farmer
❤️👍
💓❣️💘💋🙋
Bonjour Amin, thank you for this very sweet reaction to Lara Fabian. As she is also a song writer, she put words on Albinoni's Adagio. She also sings it in Italian. Check it. She did not pursue a career in the USA but she is a real star in Europe and Canada. She sings in French, Italian, Spanish and English. She resides now in Montréal wher she is fully adopted with love. She is now over 50 years old. I suggest you watch very recent performances from her.
Par amour is one of her recent songs. Here is a piano voice live performance.
th-cam.com/video/-aPARDwf2ug/w-d-xo.html
Je t'aime is one of her major hits. This live performance was broadcasted last fall in a Radio-Canada show in whici she was invited to sing for a young artist that admires her.

Merci from Montréal!

Lara Adagio in 1999 is original... Dimash cover
Take a look in hollandladies off soul
The original is hers!
The world's best vocalist ever, would be Dimash and you need to hear him sing this at I AM SINGER/CHINA - that's DIMASH - you'll be stunned ~ she congratulated Dimash on his performance of this song and, yes, she is the most remarkable feamle vocalist of today - she also has what Mariah Cary and others do not - class and dignity~
right at the best end you stopped..broke the whole...
Unfortunately, I didn't know that the moment I was recording the video.
🙏🏼❤️
Can you please react to 👉the lady of heaven trailer? ❤️😊
Hola
❤️👍🙏🏼
you guys should stop reviewing this Adagio performance from PBS show. All the people are reacting to the same video always, why ? The BEST video of "adagio live" to react to is: ADAGIO live at the World Music Awards Show 2001 HD : th-cam.com/video/YdOZ6Td0RP4/w-d-xo.html
I don’t understand how you can stop it - WHY you stop it - before the end of a phrase. It’s infuriating.
You are right, 👍😊 it was involuntary
A singer for gays
Celine Dion’s staff was scared of Lara and was the reason she couldn’t penetrate the US market as planned.
But she is a star in many countries. Thru Dimash, many others are rediscovering her.
