No, but I did take my RC Slope Glider with me and land on top of a ridge to fly it in ridge lift. Yes, those were antelope. Those guys are almost as fast as the Firefly! Thanks for checking in, Phil. 🛩
Great video sir. Is it easy to fly or do you just make it look easy? I’ve read flying planes doesn’t equate to flying ultralight planes. Is it forgiving(low risk stall/spin)? Do you know how firefly compares to aerolight 103? Ty for any input. Keep up the great videos. 😊
Easy and forgiving, but much different than "real" airplanes in technique, feel, and what conditions are comfortable to fly in. I have never flown an Aeolite 103, but have seen them at Oshkosh, and talked with Dennis Carley. Seems to be a very sweet machine. I think it may be the best quality UL currently available. I would expect it to handle similarly to a Kolb, both being high wing pushers. The 103 may have a slightly better (lower) thrust line, and of course would be easier to handle on the runway due to the tricycle gear. Both are well designed and well proven. Glad you enjoyed the video. Lots more on my channel.
As usual beautiful photography!!! Ever find a flat spot near a river and go fishing!? Ws the a herd of antelope I saw running!???😎👍👍👍
