Hello John, could you tell me: what time the Loa ridge trail open? I think I may get the main gate before 7:30am, from there hiking to the start point of Loa ridge trail and then start hiking on the ridge.
🌴 Aloha!~ ling grinnell, Hawaii ID is required to get a hiking permit(only one person needs to show) and will start issuing at 7:00AM. After the hike, the permit must be returned by 7PM. There are only 10 parking spots, so please go early. If all 10 parking spots are filled, you just have to go back or wait. Thanks a lot for your reply, but I just checked out that the Loa Ridge residence area closed, so I can not walk through the residence' street which leads the way to the start point of the loa ridge trail. I have to wait until...no one knows when. I will not drive if I go, I saw your video, feel the way go to the trail is also enjoyable. so I rather start hiking from the main gate. I saw your other video about Ko Olina Lagoon 1 to 4, so nice place, but also be told closed. Hahaha, nowhere to go. but lucky your videos can bring me doing Oahu trips on TH-cam, LOL.
