The average income in USA is 61k. So they bought a house worth of 3200k. And you think it is a good price? You must be all multimillionaires in Mexico! For 350k a German (40k) works 9 years, in Hungary for 80k they (14k) work 5 years. -> Housing is cheaper relatively as well. But in Mexico people get 2/3 of a Hungarian pay. So housing should be cheaper as well - maybe 52k for an average house.
