Interesting song choice-the song expresses Richard and Regina’s love for each other. And the vault has their prized possessions from their lives instead of money.
It basically shows that they are perfectly happy just with their family. The money is a nice plus side, but it is their family that they will always protect. If they didn't have the money, they would still have family. Money will eventually end, but treat your family like family and family will be forever.

It shows that even if they were dirt poor, they'd be content with just having each other and their family and memories of life, something that a greedy, black-hearted man like Van Dough could never understand. I would loved to have seen them sing live together. I’ve seen Christine Ebersole perform….DOZENS of times over the years in Broadway shows and her cabaret show at The Carlyle and Birdland in NYC. It’s shocking to me that she isn’t more famous but she’s conquered Broadway, that’s for sure. I can’t think of one Broadway award she didn’t receive for her performance in Grey Gardens. Off the charts talent. She has several albums, I highly suggest checking them out.
