You dont own the sole appreciation of anyone and someone can appreciate besides yourself. The fact of the matter is there is a matching game going on with lyrics and melody partially released to a song and most people who have a bit of musical know how or interest are re-listening to some voce actors and artist to try and see what it would sound like from THEIR perspective and how that would work with the overall narrative of the story Other people have not heard of her and are quite excited to find someone new to listen to. There is a lot of cross over because the plot tends to be musically driven and pulls a lot of musical traditions from broadway. Of course im Soooooo sure that she would feel soooooo honored to know you called a bunch of kids annoying and told them basically to fuck off instead of learning about her. Im sure that’s EXACTLY the kind of exclusivity culture that musicals try to foster. Im sure she Also hates the SU fans. That’s probably why she took the role.
