I'm hoping that Yuxiang updated the flight controller, which is what helped result in good flight performance. But if these servos are the same cheap plastic ones from the previous versions, they strip so easily, especially if/when the motors push downward on any impact. Might be willing to roll the dice on this one during an Aliexpress promo (if truly improved).
We got whatever we showed in the video, but to be honest, I'd be making an adapter, and using my SMART 1300mAh 3S packs, so they'll stay balanced better. These VTOL's are AMAZING FUN!!!
Have to ask before forgetting. Looks like you're flying a 3d plane. Never would've guessed RTF. I'm all about stepping stones. UMX A10 up to unboxed precious child A10 V2 with retracts (unboxed) UMX Twin engine otter with floats to step up to UMX timber evo with floats. Then you did the UMX Tractor 🚜. It's got flaps, so another plane to step up to UMX timber turbo evo. Does a vertical takeoff plane have a half step correlation to 3d flying is my question
I love these I have the XK X450which I got first then the JJRC M02 as a back up but never crashed the XK so still got an unblemished JJRC which is identical to this one you are reviewing. I remember the laughing and fun you had with the JJRC in the snow even crashed it no damage fun all round, yep keep em coming, I thought you did wheeled vehicles on wednesday.
The xk450 is very similiar. i like the 2 i have. this looks like it has a thicker body around the center structure. these have taught me alot on handling.
There's a recent YT video by everyone's favorite cheerful New Zealander about Part 107 applying to RC recreational flying on YT if your channel is monetized. If true, you might as well film fpv and everything else the "eff-aa" is choking out of our safe, harmless hobby. For me, it's +250g or -250g eff it, send it, crash it or land it. I'm gonna love RC flying my way 👍 Thanks for another great one, guys!!
Bruce is a wonderful fanner of flames ;) If he's right, every PPG, Ultralight channel is illegal as well ;) You know the expression - catch me if you can ;) I do enjoy his content...but I'm not about to take legal advice from a non-native, even if he might be right. I just keep to myself, and let someone else be the "test case" LOL
Still working on that third person perspective. I'm hoping my Carbon Cub S2 survives long enough to get acclimated to the controller/Third person perspective. She's a tough little bird and not scared of tape, glue and cuticle sticks.
I get to be early for something for once lol. Overall this thing looks pretty fun for something different to break the monotony up if you get board of other planes.
This is way better than the older version however this one does have an issue with the motor flipping all the way down on a crash I have been wanting a vtol for awhile just wish this was sub250😢👍🏼✌🏽

Agreed. The 450 was an extremely delicate flyer, that was always in some state of repair. Here's hoping this is an improvement!

The Xk450 reviews were hilarious. "Ok I'm switching to airplane mode...." Crash. Every time. Looks like Yu Xiang worked out the stall problem.
