Hey James, how heavy should my medium heavy out fit be for Sydney harbour kingfish and bonitos, I was looking at the Daiwa td black slugger rod 8ft 6-12kg and a 4000 Saltist MQ, is that enough?or you have got other suggestions? Thanks
Can I bring a fishing rod on public transport? My rod is 7ft and one piece but I catch the train and bus around 6-7 so not many people plenty of space is that fine?
Hey bro do you reckon a Daiwa saltist hyper 7 foot 9 PE 4-6 would be a good live bait outfit in Sydney harbour with a saltist MQ 6000 with 50lb j braid?
This time of year can be the hardest to get into them landbased. Although that being said if you put the time in they are quality over quantity. Live squid is best but if you buy it it the same sort of rig, 20lb to 50lb leader, and a 5/0 to 7/0 hook. Quality drag and you should be able to land them. Just never tighten halfway through a fight they only pull harder. Good luck!
James Clain Thankyou for the advice, I tried again to catch a kingie in Sydney Harbour yesterday, no good but I did manage to catch a 1m shark 🦈 that made my day but the hunt for my land based kingie goes on, thanks again for the tips
I'll be in Sydney this coming week and looking forward to chucking in a line. Being from central Oz, it's a treat to get in some fishing. And I've become addicted after venturing to the lower Eyre Peninsula the last two summers.
@@jamesclain_ Cool bananas. There is a tackle shop near the fish markets for some bait and I bought two hand reels and some lures. Should be fun. Cheers.
Hey mate, the place where I fish is at a wharf and the water is about 2-4 metres deep, do you have any tips on targeting fish there? What lure me technique should I use?And also, would a vibe be good cuz of the deep water? Thanks
@@jamesclain_ in Sydney harbour, want to keep the location secret since lots of people there all ready, hope you understand mate, there is sandy bottom with occasion weeds, water around 3 metres
Almost 600 fish species live in or frequent Sydney Harbour. This is 60 more than the Mediterranean and more than twice as many as around the British Isles to a depth of 200m.
One of my favorite. It was bled out and had the bloodline removed. It still fed 4 people and I am really fussy with my fish. The sashimi was a little strong but Yea it was super good to eat.
Nice one James! That's a good session that had everything.
Certainly was, Make sure you do more live streams!

Good strike bro💓 L43 +1 👉🔔 🙏😊
this guy was gassed from that stingray bro was acting like it was a shark its not that hard lil bro
Turns out I used to be a weakling yes. But locked drag on a Saragossa trying to skull drag a stingray off the bottom is pretty hard.
