- We head to Sydney harbour armed with live prawns.
Extra hot and windy day, so a few of us try our luck at the Team Kingies head quarters, and hope to encounter the $1m kingfish (kingy).
It was a great day with several fish caught.

Also, they only reproduce once before they die.

The arrows rods are great bang for buck, I use my 7 foot rod for topwater. Works great. Oooooooooossssss!
My arrowz rod is meant to be for squidding, but I just love the length. It helps when fighting a fish landbased.

Hey Team Kingies. Great channel. I fished this spot this morning with a live squid. What would you recommend for this location for a rig?
Would you float it? Cast it as-is? Split shot so it gently sinks, or heavy sink it?
I heavy sunk it with a running 8 ball sinker on the 35 pound braid into a swivel into a 1 metre 50 pound fluro leader. I felt a big strike and then immediately lost the lot, my braid was cleanly snapped.
Any recommendations please?

Hey man I got smoked by kings or sharks or what ever that kept on eating my yakka 8 time, 8 TIMES so I am gonna upgrade my gear, was looking at the saltist hyper stickbaiter S792-4/6 with a 8000 Saltist MQ with PE 4 j braid, how about that as a Sydney harbour land based heavy live bait set up?
Wow, that's a heavy setup for the harbour. We would go max 5000/6000 size reel with pe2-3 for the harbour.

Just size 2/0 bait holder, or 3/0 circle hooks

Hey bro do you reckon a 150m spool of braid would be enough for livebaiting or would I be spooled cuz with 50lb braid I can lock up and pump the fish
What size reel? We would normally use 8000 size reels with 300m of 50/60lb braid.

@@jzfishing103 PE ratings tend to be based on the thickness of the line. Generally speaking, PE3 is around 30lbs.
