I am so sad to hear that has been happening to him! It's a very nice store, and it used to be a safe location to be in.
I hope he has a safe life, he deserves more love in life and more kindness, for his store, did not deserve to get robbed. He didn't deserve all of that.

It's about to get worse. Gov. Waltz Sentencing Guideline Committee votes on Jan. 16 to lowering sentencing guidelines for felons.
Just imagine what life in Minneapolis will be like 10 years from now. San Francisco and Portland, OR provide a sneak peak.

I used to work across the street from there at the assisted living only reason I stayed as long as I did is because we could park in the underground garage and overnight not much happened. A few drunks would get into the vestibule of building at times and one time they managed to open up a box of depends left in the entryway and were putting them on their heads. Cops came to kick them out and got a few laughs outta it and took them to HCMC to sober up. Quit last March best decision ever.
I used to work in South Minneapolis off of 31st and Lyndale. I quit that job in January 2020, before the madness of COVID and the riots started. I'm glad that I left. I worked overnight shift

We all know how things will play out. Business like this will close, employment opportunities disappear,, property values plummet, honest people leave as soon as they can, tax revenue evaporates, and it will all be blamed on white flight and systemic racism. Millions of dollars of "community investment" from hardworking tax payers and a decade of development programs later, the cycle starts again. It's the easiest prediction to be right about.

I grew up in the Los Angeles inner city and I never turned to crime . So I don't by that argument that poverty causes crime.
