  • In this video we will show you how to reconfigure your Amcrest Pan and Tilt Wifi IP camera after it has been relocated to a place that uses a different network.
    We want to emphasize that when you move a previously configured camera to a location with a new wifi network then you will have to hard reset the camera and reconfigure it on the amcrest view pro app.

    It just doesn't work. I am now hating my cameras. "Start Live View" = "Failed to connect". My connection is good, 2.4Gb. Tried a hundred times already....

    So basically there is no way just change wifi setting, you need to reset camera and also remove it from app...
    Imagine that hassle when you need change wifi setting for security purposes and you have multiple cameras around house.
    That's useless!

      My situation is even worse I got a new Wi-Fi and I have to now climb a ladder all the way to the top stand on my tiptoes almost to the top of the house to reset it. Luckily I was smart enough to take a picture of all of the amcrest serial numbers and keep them in a safe location. What a hassle!

    Thank you very much for this tutorial. I could have my camera working again after the the WiFi provider changed the 'box' along with the WiFi password.

    What a god-awful method just to reset the wifi. Do you have to plug it into ethernet?

      Right? It should work like every other wifi device, it sets up it's own wifi network, phone connects to that wifi and change wifi network through phone app.

    I absolutely hate this camera system with iPhones. Misery trying to connect these things...no matter how meticulous you follow these videos.

    I have changed internet server and did a hard reset as per the video. However, I got stuck when my IPM-721S could not find my WIFI network (my mobile is connected to 2.4).

      @@AmcrestTechnologies I have an error after configuating the camera, after I tap on the gray box that says ''Start live view'' it does not give me a option to change my login infomation at all, all it is saying is at the bottom of the screen, a box that shows up with the error that says ''Username or Password is not currect'' Will you please help me with this?

    Will this set up allow me to view the camera when not at home and connected to the home wifi network?.....Meaning will I see it when connected to my Sprint data plan or connected to another wifi network when outside of the U.S?

    I just bought a Amcrest 1080p and I have an issue that when I open the camera it relays the image for about a minute and then it just freezes. When I originally configured it in my hotel room the app and camera worked fine. When I got home I executed an hard reset like this video indicated but unfortuntaley the image freezes after a minute. I've also tried to execute a hard reset a couple of times to see if that would solve the issue and it didnt work. Let me know if there is somehting else I can try.

    i did this totally different i moved to another location no hardwire eraised camera from app and resset camera then ran barcode in back then then wrong passwrd came up after it conected so i went to configuration remembered my 1st password changed it and all was well no internet cable needed hope this helps its a pain in the butt this system to many passwords

    I have a good connection to the computer with both cameras. My problem is, my cell phones (2) keeps dropping the video. I wish there was a way to reconnect without having to go through the set up process as above video. ie scanning, pass words and name. I get tired of doing this. Error messages "device already exists" when you try. Now what?

    Everything worked Until I hit Start Live View. It comes back "Failed to Connect". Now what??

    Just a side note... My camera couldn't connect. it was keep saying that incorrect password (admin)..I assumed that since "admin" was already written in the box and that would do it, but I erased that and typed admin again and it worked.

    just updated home network these things are junk, difficult to set up, dont work well, think it time to trash all my amcrest cameras and buy a user friendly system

    Mine Never turns Green keep doing a reset 10 sec 20 sec 30 sec nothing no green light it was working fine till I started using it again after few years in its box I thought I get it working I mean on it all night and morning I have not tried to use a different internet or router.

    poor customer service, they expect to fix your issues through email, but even through email, they cannt fix the issues, not worth to buy their product!! PLUS ALL CALL GOES OVER SEAS!!

    even better news they only work on the old 2.4 network my new one is 5, so all system trash..... DONT BUY OUTDATED

      Glad I figured it out on my own. I called customer service over a year ago and when they couldn’t help me, they said they would call me back with an answer. I’m still waiting...

      @@sodapop313 I kept resetting over and over again until finally it just worked for some reason. We were never able to get it working on our iPad though.
