Sports button to open a valved exhaust is a great idea! Feels very oem. Definitely do rods and pistons and go for 700whp! This is one of my favourite car builds on TH-cam, can’t wait to see how it evolves 😃
So you know, they sell filter socks, they're extremely tightly knitted mesh "socks" that fit over your air filter, they have hydrophobic coatings so water doesn't soak your filter, and you can literally just blow off the sock from the bottom (or take it off and blow it out), keeps your filter cleaner much longer and doesn't effect airflow or anything.
@@cartermassey2316 and some Audi V8s too, I believe. If I remember I'll look up and link the guy building the Roxster. Pretty cool, but I'm holding out for a Honda.
Love this take of a better more reliable engine, more powerful etc. I think a heat shield for the air filter would be neat, not only because its next to the exhaust but also it could help it be cleaner for longer.
Great update Nick!! Super great looking car! Regarding the build evolution for stage 2, I say do it right with a built motor once you push it up. You already have such high quality parts on such a well done 997, go the built route as in the end, it'll still be cheaper than a used 997 Turbo S motor, but making more jam.
@tuningbynick just happened to come across your channel, this video of the K swapped Porsche got me here. New subscriber. Noticed your from Ontario too. I live in the Niagara Region. Beautiful car and nice implementation of k24 swap! Please cut the zip tie ends at the very minimum or buy some Porsche brackets to make it look clean. Additionally you can relocate your air filter higher up to breath clean and fresh air from the air intakes under the wing.
You could use a defcon epoxy to fill the space in between the sleeves and the block , it helps hold more power , maybe upgrade pistons or use oem pistons from other k series that are known to hold more power , you can port the heads or do a k20 head
I think the Z7 head works just fine with this build. The 4piston guys proved that this head can make power. Packaging a tubular exhaust in the 911 engine bay will be tricky if done a 4 port route is taken.
Push the stock motor with an upgraded fuel system. Zero point financially going with forged internals. You should be able to push that motor to 700 stock with a good tune and some fail safes. Seeing how far these motors can be pushed is very interesting.
