For the people who watched the review all the way through, the distorted rattle went away. Why? Well, I have a theory. So here goes...the guitar came off a FedEx truck on a cold day and we all know that heat makes wood swell and cold makes wood shrink. So I’m thinking there was merely an issue with the guitar adjusting to a climate controlled environment, hence the rattle coming from the Transacoustic system that is attached on the inside of the body. Thus far I haven’t had any issues and the two double A batteries lasted me approximately three weeks and there was plenty of practice/playing on the instrument. I would suggest rechargeable batteries . With that said, I give this Yamaha four stars.

I must have bought mine around the time you bought yours. I've had one for almost two years and for the money, I give it four stars. It's not as nice as my all-solid would $1200 classical guitars, but it isn't a "cheap" guitar. I may buy one of their steel string Transacoustics.

Hey Josh, threw a set of Savarez 520 J R on mine, and it is unbelievable. This guitar IS in fact addicting. It's the type of guitar that when I am looking at it in my music room, I am drawn to picking it up an playing it, over all my other guitars.

I’m going to order some of those today! It is indeed one of the coolest sounding guitars I own!

@@joshfeatherstone8546 Yeah, I can never find them at the music store. They are incredible strings though!

Hey Josh, great playing and review, I'm glad that rattle went away for you. I totally agree about the chorus just making things sound 80s, your Cocteau Twins comment made me laugh. What you were playing at 8:30 sounded really good with chorus though! Do you think you'll end up keeping it?

You do not get an Engelmann Solid Spruce Top on a cheap guitar. The back & sides are laminated but it is far from a bog standard classical style guitar. My thoughts are you should have played it for a week or two and then given your appraisal. You cant expect to know the instrument where it has just been received, and especially where there is new technology involved.

Here's your answer: I've had one for almost two years and performed with it quite a bit. They are great.

Do you prefer this guitar or the Córdoba for beginners if price isn’t a factor?

Any issues with the battery life? I had to send mine back due to it. Nice review

I’ve never had any issues with the battery. Well, that’s disappointing to hear about. Are you they replacing it for you or are you getting a different guitar?

@@joshfeatherstone8546 I returned it. After a week of playing it the feature of having built in reverb kind of got old lol
