My mother told me I shouldn’t make university a big deal because I’m not as smart as my older sisters. This was about 10 years ago and I’m still hurt, it’s not that I haven’t forgiven her although she never apologised but it still haunts me.
Don worry, u know about yourself more than anyone else. So be confident on whatever u do but be wise when taking decisions. Take care. I can see my son in your words. 😢
Hey Arije, You are hitting so many unknown "issues" that I have recently discovered I have now or in the past. I really would have benefitted from more people like you in my life when I was a child. Great info! Thanks for sharing!!
thank you for all your work! I have was diagnosed both as an adult and as a child. However, a lack of resources and shame stopped me from being able to take this into my own hands. I would have really appreciated your videos as a child or at the start of University. Nevertheless, they are now helping me self- actualise and become my best self. Keep it up!
I’m dyslexic myself. Confidence is a struggle just because what happens is you feel left out when you don’t get certain subjects exactly like everyone else. Certain subjects like math and certain parts of English that in the conversation it’s hard to understand.
Helooo!!! Hope u r fine. I just came to know about in some others video and searched in TH-cam and I got urs explaining about what dyslexia is. As a mother of two kids one is in grade 9 she has started understanding things and carrying on her studies better than earlier but the younger one studying I grade 6, I’m too much concerned about him on his academics. He always says though I concentrate, forgets soon , I feel too much down when friends were answering in the class. He wants to do but something is getting lacking in him. Actually he had tongue tie which I notice in his childhood later when he reach the age of 3 came to know to go for surgery because he didn’t speak the words. Without knowing all these difficulties I put him on the kinder garden but I didn’t see any improvements on his speech but he was active when they take to the play area. After the surgery admitted in the school the. But he wasn’t carried out any kind of improvements but started writing instead telling orally. Now is in grade 6, still struggling and patiently teaching him everyday though he gets lower marks. He feels and telling me that their peers are saying failure when he gets the test sheets. But I feel he is good enough and improving though in the fail marks. I used to tell him to understand the concept and then read. I don know whether he is dyslexic. How to find out still, hr is writing on his own but there are spelling mistakes and lack of concentrations no memory and understanding concepts. He is trying to get all these but something lacks him. Can u help me to find out whether it is dyslexic and whom can approach for this.
I wish if my learning disabilities would be acknowledged, not even in family, work or sometimes in friendships or partnership, as long as I deliver the outcomes they want or excellent outcomes that means by default I am not adhd or dyslexic or has dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia or even quiet bpd, just cuz i work harder than anyone to manage me, i feel pressure of denial for the fact that i am struggling even if u people can not see it😢
Beautifullll. I need to translate this to my 12 year old dyslexic son. I will defenetly show him your video, to see a wonderful heroe...Have you worked with preteens with woop? Do you have any recommendations?
Gabi you are making me blush. :) I have worked with woop that are personally affected. Parents have not been coming to me as of now... but maybe that will change along the road. I soon will be publishing some additional information on the topic (Short's).
I took the easy way out because I faked you all my life! I'm a hairdresser / artist very creative and I have a hunger for knowledge and am very visional! I never read directions because I don't understand them... I Wing everything! I just discovered a few days ago this is what I have! I self diagnosed myself! I just thought it was my brain I didn't know it would be this! I hate paperwork I start sweating when I have to fill out forms it's horrible! ✌🏻✌🏻
This video helped me so much I would recommend you contact Arije for a talk if this video helps you I've done this and I've already made some changes in my life.

We, dyslexics, are often told things like this, but when it comes from a close family member, it must hurt even more.
