The critical question is whether we can manage the tensions amidst ongoing conflicts involving the US versus China, North Korea, Russia, and Iran. Currently, Russian submarines and cruisers with nuclear capabilities are stationed in Cuba. It may sound not related but we can say these enemies of the US are having each others back and we might get drag to a broader conflict not only with China but also with its allies. Putin warned about potential nuclear attacks involvement to the US and its allies on his latest interview.
Recent wars didn't show numbers matter. The 6 days war of Israel and recently even.the Ukraine war says a lot. It's really the determination of the people.
Just an observation and opinion.
The USA is still the mightiest country and military force around the world especially when it comes to battle ready experience, hardware, and technology and allies aournd the world. Allies like Uk, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, S Korea also has the same. Remember the USA also has a big security interest in the indo pacific because Hawaii is one of ther state and they have a big naval militray base as well.
As much as the Philippines would like to avoid any escalation that might result to a deeper concflict, the Philippines should still stand firm to defend its soveriegnty as a country. The Philippines should also learn and collaborate with Ukraine for better understanding of how to handle a big bully. Learn from their strategies, like the use of air and sea drones and its manufcaturing. These small drones had helped Ukraine a lot in all fronts for their country's defense, and was also helpful on their offensive. The Philippines and its allies do not want any conflict escalations, but the Phillippines will definitely be defended and shoild do the same for its allies. and I believed China's ambitions is miscalculated and evrything will be shattered once they decided to go further down that dark road.
I agree alliance is a two way street not a one way street. They help us if we need them and we help them if they need us.

First of all, what these Filipino lawmakers can do to stop this Chinese misbehavior in WPS? All these Filipino lawmakers least can do is to slam nor condemned by words the recent and past Chinese violations in West Philippine Sea.
What more important is the tangible and major policy change to put back those stolen money (through corruption) by these politicians to put it back in the jar of Philippine defense budget for to spending and purchasing vital military equipment to modernize the Philippine Armed Forces, especially the navy department.
The stupidity and lack of concerns for devades and deacades are now hunting the core every Fililipinos, and the leadership of the government and the military branch.
The inability of the Phillipine Coast Guard to rightly respond due to lack of resources (like modern patrol boats, fast attack boats, cutters, large coast guard ships, and helicopters) are the reasons that China advances in their illegal occupations of our islands and expansionism mentality.
Such a shame also, that, even the Philippine Navy has not enough resorces as well to help and support they're naval brothers in the coast guard to assist them in dealing with the provlematic Chineae troops in the West Philippine Sea.
It is such a headache most of all to the Philippine President Bong Bong Marcos, Defense secretary, and military generals and officers what lind of approached they will do in order to reaponse to the recent incident in the WPS.
If this administration and the whole Philippine Congress, will not focus more on the national defense of the country, they are doomed to fail for sure in defending the sovereign territories of the Philippines 🇵🇭. They are the sole responsible people to vlame for the sufferings of the Filipino troops (coast guards and navy), and might as well, the Filipino people.
It is such a big shame as well to think that the armed forces does not have any very good ideas to counter the threat of China in the WPS with regards to defending our EEZ and territories.
And why is that? Its because, mainly, they do not have the resources of modern military equipment to use, but rather the government is focused more on that stupid immoral POGO issues that even the Philippine Senate themselves are confuse on how to deal with a fake Chinese nationals. That belongs to a Chinese syndicate manipulating everyone from local to the upper branches of the government.
Now, everybody is feeling the heat including BBM, Defense Minister, and lawmakers on how to deal with China 🇨🇳 and in defending the country's national security.
