    I have had many dogs in my lifetime and have loved them all but my English Mastiff is by far the sweetest dog I have ever known.

    You just beautifully desceibed my rescue amstaff!!! He is so amazingly loving, patient, and whether it is my WFH day or my gone from the home day...he is as loving and obedient although ensures his longing for me when I do get home on those long days working!!! Staffies are such a gift!!!!

      Olde English Bulldogs are a good alternative to an English bulldog.

    We have a male 3yo mixed Chihuahua of 5kg we got 1.5years ago. At home he's very chill but barks at EVERY stranger dog when I take him for a walk. I try to socialize him the best I can but he will actually try to bite the other dog when I let him approach one. He will also let no stranger pet him ( took 3months for my mother to touch him, seeing her once every weekend)
    I have a friend who has a very calm ~20kg neutered male dog, he really gets along with him. Everytime he sees him they play for an hour, he'll try hump him all along but my friend's dog is ok with it and will let him know when it's really annoying. My chi is very cool once he gets to know the other dogs.
    So, having always wanted a big dog I took interest in the mastiff breeds. Do you think it would be safe for the chi ? What kind of training will the mastiff need ? And what are the mastiff breeds that get along with smaller pets?

    Can you work full time and have a dog if they have access to a doggy door to go and potty outside and then come back in after, as well as being committed to giving them 30-60 minutes of exercise and training before and after work ?

    • @lp9476
      @lp9476 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but some breeds should never have unsupervised access to the outside! And some breeds will be unhappy with no interactions throughout the day.

      @@lp9476 what do you reckon would be good for a lifestyle like mine? I can commit to long periods of workouts before and after work, however at the end of the day, like most people, I gotta work

      @@AnimeCultist15 a fair few are fine with that lifestyle. Depends what kind of energy levels you’re looking for, and what breed traits. Like, do you want a lazy guardian, or a small cuddler, etc?

      @@lp9476 well I’m glad everyone doesn’t have to work then 🤣 that means u basically can’t own a dog

    An English Bulldog is the worst breed you can recommend, and I only say that, because of their lifelong health issues from not being able to breathe properly. Sure, they can be a low energy dog for busy ppl, but you as an owner, are going to have a plethora of vet bills through that dog's life.
