Wow, a great day on one of my favorite spots I haven't seen for 30 years... Be sure and give your date, weather conditions and the rest you did just fine. So well done.
I go to the jetties about twice a month every month...i let the spoon fall all the way down then either bounce it and then retrieve or let it fall all the way down then retrieve
We went out not planning to fish with spoons! We caught our reds on mullet previously, but this trip not a single red hit the mullet. I see a guy down the jetty casting a spoon and two minutes later BOOM he had a red on. So much of fishing is adapting... But better but we won't ever go out to Port A without those spoons now!! Haha.
I would love that! Thewafflesfam@gmail.com I don’t know if you saw that video, but a fan of ours saw this video and went out fishing, ironically, while we were out there. We got to help him land his PB fish - 52 inch Kingfish that hit his spoon. The video is called “fishing with fans” if you want to check it out, super cool moment for us and him!
So we used the exact same spoon for all of these catches for the day - they are bass pro shop silver spoons with a black dot on them. We purchased them at Cabela's.

Trident Fishing no doubt!!!
Fish onnnnn!
That's amazing!!!!!
Epic day of fishing!!!!! 🙌🏼
Great Day! Why do you tie directly to the spoon instead of the split ring?
Did you use a leader or straight Mono? Were the spoons 1.5oz or 2oz?
So we do use a leader out there typically because sometimes the kings will hit the spoons. 2oz 💜
@@TheWafflesFam Ok Thks
Good job and some good eating as well nicely done good job you're from san Antonio?
Texas but not San Antonio 😊
@@TheWafflesFam koo koo would like to meet up one day
Under prepared is when have a great day!! I will go under prepared next weekend lol
Sam Nawawi no doubt!!
10:06 that fish is almost as bug as her lmao
What was the weight of the spoon?
The website says 2 oz, not 100% if that’s right.
How did yall fish the spoons? Ive tried spoons there before and havent had any luck
Maybe try picking those particular spoons up, what time of year were you fishing?
I go to the jetties about twice a month every month...i let the spoon fall all the way down then either bounce it and then retrieve or let it fall all the way down then retrieve
What size reel and rod did you use? Think a 3000 real could handle that?
We’ve got an 8 foot medium action rod and Jimmy was on a Penn 4000, I was on a 2500. 😊
Please send me the model number and name of the spoon lure you used for fishing please

Just drive to the jetty and walk on down 😊
Thanks so much I’ve never caught any reds before hope to end the bad luck soon thanks so much
Best of luck!! We’ve had a lot of success out on that jetty with spoons.
Thanks so much hopefully when I catch one out there I’ll be sure to add a pic and send y’all a shout out

It was mid February.
@@TheWafflesFam also by the way I have a channel too
What time of year or you guys there??
Ethan Ellingson it is February in this video 😊
Ohh nice... thanks
Did y'all keep any?
Dddaaavvviiiddd3 we kept the 34 and the 42 😊
My what big fish you have James...🐳🤣
Bro 😂😂😂 we just saw this. Lol!
Best place to catch a bullred just need the right bait and tackle and keep them away from the rocks.
What kind of rod is that?
Daiwa Rod Penn reel 🙂
"Fish on"
Is that at North Jetties?
cmoszee south actually.
What color are the spoons at the 30 second mark? It's hard to tell if they're copper or silver because of the reflection.
So we used the exact same spoon for all of these catches for the day - they are bass pro shop silver spoons with a black dot on them. We purchased them at Cabela's.

Thank you, that’s awesome! It’s definitely been a huge blessing for me.
It's air bladder looked full from pulling it up from the bottom. Maybe you should've vented that fish on the video at 3 minutes?
That was actually a pretty shallow area. He went off great 🙂
