I used to work at an emergency passport agency and had to deal with people like her. They were so entitled and often we would sense BS with their "emergency" and turn them away. It would take away time from people with real emergencies like those that lost a loved one in another country.
Also there were congressional appointments which we treated as a big deal because they were ACTUAL emergencies like people died overseas, got injured or were in the hospital and their family needed to visit them. The fact that she got one from a congressional office makes me so mad.

The 3, 6, 9 is a therapy technique, similar to 11,11 where you write things over and over across a time period of several days to change your mindset about a specific thing.
My therapist and I are currently working on saying nice things about myself, I write it 11 times a day, for 11 days. Then reassess how I'm feeling about myself.

I was getting ready to say "that is so bothersome to me" but honestly, the fact that THIS is what these companies do to people-warp their judgment, their thinking, their perception of reality, their sense of urgency and their sense of what's important, their gage for what is right and wrong-THAT is so bothersome to me. She honestly doesn't see what's wrong with this scenario, and she's on social media bragging about it. This is sad.

I'm LITERALLY trying not to tar every religious person with the same brush, because that's never fair and I don't wanna be that guy, but people like passport lady make it so hard. Every time I see the "not explaining a situation and just thanking god 100x over" paragraphs on FB and insta it's like "okay... what *actually* happened tho?" because this? This is SO common. You dig with enough diligence and it's like a load of problems of their own making, lying to get out of it or change it, and then saying god was on their side. Lady, you lied, you knew you were lying, and now you're taking a vacation as a "reward" for doing it.
I hate that people like her make Christians look ridiculous. It's unfair to us all (and I don't blame you for your thoughts on this, I blame her). God must've been shaking His head listening to her sing His praises over a situation where she used extreme dishonesty for selfish gain!! Situations like that do NOT involve Him, I mean, obviously. 🤦🏻♀️ one day a few weeks ago, I zoned out behind the wheel and despite not realizing it was happening and despite nothing literally shaking me out of it, I miraculously snapped out of it a MILLISECOND before hitting an oncoming truck head on with both of us doing 55mph, and I miraculously pulled the wheel just enough to correct my location but not enough to put myself in the ditch or roll my car. I would have died, and the person I almost hit would have died -- NO question about it. Nothing had happened to get my attention, but something told me to pull the wheel immediately and actually. THAT is a situation where I knew God had reached down and shaken me and saved my life. THOSE moments are the ones that solidify my faith. Not these absurd hun anecdotes where they act like being in the MLM somehow makes them more special in God's eyes, and He's just handing them everything they ask for on a silver platter. Oh please. 🙄 I can only pray that they are guided to be better Christians than that. Sorry for the long tangent haha.
The moments I actually feel God intervening are usually life and death, like when my mother knew somehow to take the 6 y.o. me & escape at the right moment to save our lives from a killer, even though it was just another Tuesday night in our small town community where nothing like that had ever happened before, and I was still a silly kid who wanted to stay out longer to count the stars. To this day, I'm probably still the only witness of my babysitter's murder bc I saw it happen as my mother was running away. I'm almost 30 now & that case has remained unsolved. I have no doubt we would have also died & become more papers in a cold case file if God hadn't stepped in, & as my mom puts it, "put a thought in her".
This entitled lady, on the other hand, knows nothing of life or death. It's insulting to see her take the name of God in vain like that, and use Him to justify her own lies. Sadly, most of the loudest 'Christian' voices on social media are like that nowadays. God is just a convenient moral tool to them, not a God, not a Savior.
Honestly I don't blame you for feeling that way. I hate even identifying as a "Christian" because that word is associated with so much hate, entitlement, and hypocrisy in my life. I do believe in God, but Christians like that infuriate me. God has blessed me and saved my life many times, but I will never attribute something to him that isn't him. We all have free will. God intervenes in our lives to help us, yes, but it drives me crazy seeing moms post stuff like "God blessed our son's baseball team, and that's why they pulled off the big win tonight!" That's not how that works.
Or "God blessed us with this house." Chances are, no he didn't. There are very few situations I would consider that to be true. If you were homeless and you just so happen to meet someone in casual conversation and they have an extra room that they want to give you, that could definitely be a blessing. Or if you want a specific size/location for your home, but you can't find one after months of searching, begin the process for buying another house, and then it falls through and immediately you are offered a house that just came on the market that you were looking for and its well below market value, I would consider that a blessing. If you just make a lot of money and go to a neighborhood where they're currently building homes and they have 25 lots available, there's nothing remarkable or blessed about that.
I believe in giving thanks to God for those things you can't explain. Like my mom deciding to redo her entire home furnishings, and then immediately I had sudden financial issues and had to move out from the dorms in college to a smaller, cheaper apartment, and suddenly I had an entire house full of furniture and didn't have to buy anything. What are the chances of those two things lining up? Neither of us knew what the other had going on, and it worked out perfectly that when I called her freaking out about not being able to afford it any longer and needing to get a cheap apartment, she had literally just ordered her new living room set earlier that day. Or one time I had zoned out while driving, and accidently ran a red light in a massive metropolitan city on the outskirts of downtown, and somehow there was no one there on either side of the intersection, so I didn't hurt anyone or myself. I completely understand if some people would call those lucky coincidences. But for me, I've experienced way too many "coincidences" that changed my situation for the better that shouldn't have happened by chance alone. But not everything good in your life is a blessing from God. And God certainly isn't blessing people in return for lying to the government so they can go on vacation 😑

An example is men who claim faith usually when it comes to telling a woman how to behave yet dont have a problem with themselves having sex before marriage or similar.

I worked virtual school care during covid. The wifi at our facility was faulty and the kids ended up missing their first day of school. I cried and cried because I felt so bad. How could you let your baby miss their first day of school because you wanted to go to a CONVENTION?

Tea tree is one of the MANY oils that require dilution before use. I put 5 drops max in 1 cup of coconut oil and in a jar to help with mosquito bite relief and I will put a couple drops in a spray bottle full of water to sometimes spray my kids at the base of the hairline to help repel lice at school. That is it though and I always say to ppl to check with a Dr. You also have to be careful what oils you use around pets. Especially when diffusing because so many can cause respiratory issues. Even the "pure" ones.
