Painting the frames white then using the bright color could help "prime" a dark frame for a lighter color. Maybe taking a dresser out/putting it in the closet would help bring some space to the bedroom?
You should do a propagation station with all the plants & shelves in the living room!! There are small/thin glass viles/vases/whatever you want to call them at the thrifts all the time! It could bring a whole new life to the neglected plants to take a bunch of cuttings from them and let them root. & it would decorate your cute shelves in the meantime! Love you and this series. XO
I love hydroponic pothos! It would be lovely with thrifted glass jars of all sizes and shapes with the vines hanging down. 🌿❤ Spice jars would be perfect for the space limitations!
i love how when youre doing the brooklinen ad read, your puppy is like “BUY EM!!! *chomp* BUY EM NOW!!!” while jumping around you ☺️ i am going through a slump and have started so many projects that are now just sitting, unfinished. 😞 Your videos help give me motivation.
I feeeel this! Every space I've lived in before this one I kept postponing my decorating/DIY/etc. too! I always put it off, and then before I knew it my lease was up. It's truly been so so so fun and rewarding and oddly quite the mental healthy boost to wake up in a space I feel apart of every day. I can't recommend it enough hehe 😉
Maybe you could do small jars/test tubes for the ikea shelves and put the pothos in water rather than dirt? Or turn it into a sort of propagation station??
Re shelves for plants - you could do a sort of hanging basket situation? Or have a kinda pouch underneath the rail to contain the roots and then put the plants in? Only problem would be watering them could be really messy 🤔 Idk there's loads of space saving planters in gardening shops which might give you some inspiration?
For the plants; there are really simple plant holders that you can hang pots from! On ikea there’s one type called ”vitlök” in various shapes and sizes if you want to see an example, but I’m sure you could DIY that type of plant holder fairly easily with just some scrap wire 😊
for the plant shelving you could put "S" hooks on the bar/railing and hang either propagation containers or plant pots from there! would the shelf itself hold spice jars? if so maybe the shelves can hold upcycled spice jars as a propagation station and then hang the pothos from "S" hooks as well
I've been really enjoying watching your apartment DIY vlogs. I'm moving in a couple months and your videos are giving me so many ideas for my new place!
Those pathos can be clipped and just grown in water. So maybe get some thin glass containers that fit in the shelves. Then you’d have a water pathos shelf. With soil, it probably wouldn’t work as the plant would need more room in soil. Just an idea!
I love seeing your growth as a youtuber. You have really found your niche! I look forward to all of your videos and love watching you figure ish out. It makes me feel like I'll get mine figured out too. Keep being you! 🖤
I love the mirror!!! It such a great feeling to have when you love how something turned out and know you love it so much you’re not going to change it in the future :) so happy for you!
Love your space, it's cool to see how you've been making it your own! For your plant shelves you could staple an old shower curtain liner or heavy duty plastic bags as a very long "pot/tray" and fill those with dirt and rocks for drainage you can also cover the outside of it in burlap or other fabric to hide the plastic. This might not be ideal since you can't take it out to water the plants but can fit into your size requirements easily! That or use test tube vases?!
Hi! I think i would flip the Ikea shelves upside down and hang the plants from the rod => would mean more space for the pots (4 inches instead of 2 🙃) aaaand a bonus little extra space for cuttings or whatever thats small and cute on the top part of the shelf :)
that mirror!!! wow!!! my friend gave me a really old wooden mirror, so grateful for, but it's insanely heavy I guess because it is so old and the glass is thick lol
oooooh I bet it's suuuuuper heavy! This one isn't top quality (lol IKEA) and it's pretty heavy. I can only imagine how heavy a well made/vintage one would be! But I bet it's a stunner! 😻🪞
Would kombucha bottles fit in the shelves? I have a bunch of the glass bottles that I use as water bottles, but they could be cute pothos planters too!
hi! I love your videos and have been trying to find a low waste option for coffee and I'm in love with the one you used in here! Do you know where you got it or what its called?
In case you ever need to figure out how many of something you have (like the blocks) you can just weigh five or ten and then weigh them all and divide that number and find out how many you approximately have.
New subscriber and so enjoying your content! What size wooden blocks did you have/purchase? I’ve been planning to by the hovet mirror for a while and will 100% be doing this hack!
It's actually just a v old bed frame from IKEA! I've had it for 13yrs now 🙈 But I do believe they still sell it and is really easy to find secondhand! It's not the best made bed frame in the world so I don't know if I recommend it, but it's simple and functional for sure! But if you do find one secondhand, make sure the faux wood it's made of is in good condition at the junctions where the screws go in because they're not necessarily made to be taken apart over and over (as I've learned from doing that a few too many times over the years 😂 ). I believe it's called the "MALM" bed frame and the end tables are sold separately but screw in/attach. Hope that helps! :)
As someone who also lives in the Seattle area, I’d like to know more about that places you go to for sustainable shopping and things like that, I’m new to this and new to the area
Honestly, Facebook Marketplace!! It's THE BEST here! 10/10 recommend!! The Value Village in Woodinville is a drive but is also a really great spot, and if I don't have time to head all the way out there, I'll go to the Goodwill in Ballard! And if I have $$$ to spend, the Vintage Mall in Fremont! I have an older video with some of my favorite sustainable spots in Seattle but sadly a few of them have closed since the pandemic (and Eco Collective went fully online but is still locally based for all their deliveries!). But I'll try and do more of that, also sharing the places I'm going/mentioning in my IG stories as much as I can! And I can make a highlight over there! And maybe I'll re-do that video some time soon if that's helpful! :)
You should have done a coat of primer or at least white before the colors. It would have been less streaky and required far less layers to get smooth, even, non streaky coverage.
Hey Sedona, can you make a video of sustainable/ eco friendly bug spray, not only mozzie repellent, but also cockroach spray, etc. In find it really hard to find anything that can kill especially cockroaches that's more zero waste. Let me know if you know anything! That'll really help my zero waste journey thanks!! :D xx lots of love
Just an idea but if your bedroom is big enough you could maybe turn the bed so that it faces the other wall. Might give you more usable floor space - but you have probably thought of this already.
The pathos would not do well in a thin pot.. if you reall want it there, I'd suggest hanging to from roof or a table below and run the vines over the thin shelves
No worries, I don’t think I’ve shared it yet either! It’s actually the same bed frame I’ve had since high school! It’s 13yrs old, and she’s (barely) still kickin’! Truly was the bed frame I got after I graduated from my childhood bunk bed 😂😂😂 It’s originally from IKEA and I’m pretty sure they still make it. I think it’s the “MALM” bed and matching night stands if that helps! I’d say if you get one secondhand, definitely make sure the faux “wood” it’s made of isn’t cracked in any of the junctions you add screws to because I don’t think they’re the best quality/meant to be built over and over haha. I’ve moved mine (taken it apart and rebuilt it) probably ~4 times and I’m not sure how many it has left in it 😂 So I’d make sure it was relatively new if you find one secondhand (and I defs think you could because they’re a pretty popular make (I think!)]. I hope that helps/answers your question! 🌞💘🦋🧡
It's temporarily down, but I plan to re-launch it this summer! It needed some updates and as I've been giving my time to other projects I'm leaving it expired (to save that $$$) but will be back up and running soon when I can get back to having space to give to it and my newsletter again! :)

Absolutely a great idea! ❤️
Could you use small glass spice containers?

For the plants; get a planter with a hook on the backside so you can hang it from the bar :)
omg such a good idea! And then I feel like maybe I could add some fun things behind too?! Now my brain is buzzing with ideas! 😊 Thank you!
My exact thought, 2 inch would be way too small for the plants to thrive and be happy
@@SedonaChristina another option could be thin glass bottles and then propagate them and other small plants in the water !
I’m a little late to the game, but I was going to suggest the same thing!!

Can we form a Roo Fan Club???? What a precious little nugget!
That mirror looks so amazing! Also, I don't know why, but I would never think to paint frames, but it's such a quick, easy upgrade! :)
Rediscovering your channel again and honestly I love these vlogs 🖤

One option for staining small wooden items is by just immersing them in stain in a big bowl. I've seen people do it with coffee even.
