This band could possibly make me want to explore more Deathcore. I’m an old school death/hardcore fan, when they were two different genres. Death, Obituary, Cro-Mags, Deicide, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Sick Of It All, Biohazard, Pestilence you fuckin get it.. I can’t get into deathcore, AT ALL.. I just think they are better separate.. This band has my attention! Having said all that, I’d highly recommend you check out the bands Fuming Mouth, Knocked Loose, Conjurer, and death metal outfits like Skeletal Remains, Gatecreeper, and Demonical.. Scorched is another killer band, if you like that old school death metal sound..
shadow of intent is not deathcore anymore they added too much symphonic death metal influence that almost have shifted genres now same happened with job for a cowboy back in the day
Serious question though, why do you literally hate guitar solos so much? I mean, it's almost the only thing making deathcore less bland and DOA in general. So yeah, why the hate? lol
Takes me out of the song completely. I respect the musicianship, and talent though. I think deathcore has plenty to separate itself from other sub genres of metal. For me it doesn't matter what genre solos are in, they always feel out of place.
Solos in almost every song though is a bit much. If a guitarists wants to show his skills mid lyrics go for it. Doing a pure solo section in almost every song in alot of bands can be too too much

I think they’re going for a simolar sound to Reclaimer, to me Reclaimer is a better album than Melancholy, love both though

I’m not too keen on this song but his vocals are blistering!!! Love it. He’s one of the best.
If youre not keen on this song youre simply not a fan lol this is by far their best song. Without question. To each their own though I guess......
