I was judging at a pre release for Temporal Forces a few weeks back and one of our regulars (9 yo with ADHD) is a really great player for his age was going up against a noob who had his grandfather looking over the game. The grandfather was starting to get aggressive and yelling at the kid with ADHD because he was doing everything too fast. I step in and calm everything down, explain everything that's happening as it's happening, kind of pulling grandfather aside and saying that dude just moves a lot and is a bit frenetic due to his condition. Dude continues being a bit of a dick and making the little guy stressed and upset. I ended up kicking grandfather out of the area and presided over the game to make sure everything was above board but without his energy. Idk if I had to tell the whole story but TL:DR - be you to hell with anyone being toxic because they don't like it
@@slotholopolis2314 good job removing the toxic so the kid could focus on why he was actually there. I had stuff happen like this to me my whole life and I am much older now and so when I was a kid no one even questioned that I had ADHD or autism because I’m high functioning but definitely not neurotypical whatsoever. My life made so much more sense once I was diagnosed in my 20s by a doctor who asked me if I had ADHD within a minute of meeting me and that’s where it began. I have ADHD and sometimes feel so smooth brained hearing that people climb the ladder in 2 months. But it's like you said, simple misplays cost me so many games.

Hey man, I wouldn't say you're a bad player. Not at all, You were one of the big inspirations that have helped me to get back into the Pokémon card game and even winning 4th out of 10th place in a league with your Kyurem Vmax deck. Its always usually a guarantee that people are gonna misplay lose and look back into what they did wrong and what cost them the game. I've done it plenty of times and Its always gonna be something I do because people tend to miss things were they're in a lot of pressure. the TCG (mainly live) put you in games where you do have to think about your next play but don't you the necessary time to figure out your next move. I say just Keep doing what you were doing and worry less about your misplays. Misplays will always happen but the best thing you can do if you lose is say GG and move on cause its hard to learn how to figure out how to counter your misplay especially when its a different deck each game. Take care and much love.
Honestly the misplays make the videos. Your humor and deck building skills are what make the videos and the channel. If I wanted to watch a pro I would watch someone who only says 10 words the entire video with poor video quality. Your content is high quality and highly entertaining keep it up brother you’re doing great. ❤️
You know, whether you’re a bad player or not, as long as you’re having fun and being creative, why would it matter, that’s WHAT we’re subscribed for, if we wanted to see boring meta decks, we’d watch TH-camrs who are more centered around meta decks, I like the fact you’re genuinely creative and try to make some silly things work
Cresselia was very good to play in EFG because it undid Sableye pings and prepped benched Kirlia's/Gardevoirs so they can attack in future turns. Cresselia wouldn't be bad. But Gardevoir needs to to run low HP attackers that need damage to deal damage. So dealing with lost box is way harder than it used to. That and the loss of Avery makes the match up way harder to comeback from.
the thing about cresselia vs sableye is that your deck already needs to have 80~90 base hp guys with 60+ damaged marked on them to take KO's against Lost Zone, so with or without cress healing you still need Jirachi anyways also as Alexx said, Cress overall feels a lot worse post-rotation
I humbly find your way of mending/fixing misplays really enriching. Everybody misplays, it is REALLY difficult to NEVER misplay, so the skill to learn how cope with them in order to make a comeback is vital.
He’s also not using decks with established lines of play. Every video he’s playing a deck that’s not only new to him, but also doesn’t have well known theory to depend on, so I think 99.9% of players would make a lot of the same mistakes, and 100% of players would make at least some mistakes as they figure it out
You aint a bad player mate, you are showing interesting decks! Oh also, i think the only reason why cresselia was played was to play manaphy and cripple/ko any opposing baby gardevoir (the shining arcana one) and heal some damage to get 1 additional energy on, also, it spreads the energy out for pivoting
Hey man! Long time viewer firts time commenting and suscribing here. Let me tell you something, I watched you since 2020 and the ONLY reason i watch your videos it's because you don't always shows the perfect game and thats exacly the reason I can relate with you, your mistakes help me a lot to play better so thank you for missplaying every single game. I don't care if you don't have 1M subs I prefer watching your messy videos (in a good way) instead the perfect or lucky plays other creators do. And I also learn a lot from your missplays so plese whatever you do keep playing the way you do. Cheers from Mexico
Hey, I just want you to know you are not a bad player. The last couple of vids you have really put yourself down due to missplay and bad luck, but just know that as a fan, I don’t see you as a bad player even when you try to be more casual about the games. Im sure you will get out of the bad luck slump.
@@ebencharles3228 Yes, and Mismagius is putting 2 damage counters with an ATTACK. Rabsca doesn't block damage/effects from abilities though, like Iron Valiant ex's ability.
Cress doesn't see much play anymore because we lost arcana gardevoir. In the past, attaching energy to ralts to get the damage to them move with creselia wasn't too bad as you'd likely end up attacking with the arcana gardevoir later anyways. Now you'd just be over committing energy to the board.
I’m a Gardie player, I don’t play Crescelia anymore because now I can do MUCH higher damage with Scream Tail snipe and Raging Bolt. Those are my two attackers. A lot of decks don’t run Manaphy anymore, so sniping for 280 is pretty powerful.
I'm curious what your thoughts would for adding 1 or 2 TM: Evo and swapping some things around for more Arven so you can have faster setups since so much of the gameplan revolves around setting up multiple stage 1s
I think the biggest problem with us ADHD is overthinking things sometimes instead of going for the simple play. In other words, we feed into our own weakness by complicating things (assuming that our opponents are seeing what we don't) and miss the simple play. An example is you not just benching Alakazam when you had a chance (it was in your hand at about 6:50). I'm not sure if you were worried about it being bossed or something, but you clearly overthought it. If you had just played it, then you'd have won the game. I agree that ADHD makes it hard for us to reflect on games because we cannot fix our inability to notice certain things, but we can reflect on when we overthought something and fix that. I'm not a great player either (only been playing about 5 months as well), but that's my advice. My other advice is to use a big hitter like Dark Lokix instead of Raichuu.
Cresselia was mostly useful to increase Shining Arcana Gardy’s damage cap, that’s why it was so strong early/mid game. Plus, like you mentioned, gardy’s new attackers WANT damage on them.
Cresselia required spreading energy around pokemon which was often bad. Yeah you might have a damaged bench and use less energy but then that energy was just there and couldnt be used in a big swing
I feel your frustration, man. I've been trying my hand at a spread deck too and have looked at many of these cards. I've decided that I don't have the attention to detail to go for wide spread, so instead, I've been playing with Pawmots (the 60 dmg to bench ones) and Zapdos, along with the new Miraidon that does extra damage to pokemon with counters. I don't even bother with Devo for the same reasons you mentioned. Don't beat yourself up, wide spread is hard.
Everybody sleeps on Dark Lokix when it comes to spread. Just get 50-60 damage out there and then kill one-shot everything with him. All you need is a spreader like Mismagius or Weezing, throw in gapejaw bog, get R. Alakazam for insurance.
I play gardy deck and the reason i still keep the creselia is to remove opponent's manaphy and give way for my screamtail opportunity to snipe if they fail to put back the manaphy. Not to mention, there are still some players who play tsareena ex deck
maybe try with 151 "Second Bite" Raticate powered by Reversal Energy (as it also works on Mismagius; double does not). It's the only guy I know of that can counter hands with relative ease after slapping it with Mismagius' curse. Hell, throw on vengeful punch, and the rattata can ko it!
Mismagius' attack is considered a special attack, not direct damage, so Manaphy can't block it. To block this attack, you need the new Rabsca (bench only) or Toedscruel ex (need Energy on Pokemon you want to protect) 😅
Bro in min 10:00 u could've wiped the whole board with Raichu's collateral bolts, gardy was missing 50 damage counters and same thing with ninja, the rest needed 10 damage counters...His attack does 50 for each pokemon that already has damege counters on them(both yours and opponents)
Mate, you don't have ton explain yourself! The deal It is to have fun!!! And I love the decks that you play, mostly because they're super Fun! Love your Channel, keep playing and having Fun! Cheeeers
So... electivire kinda sucks... it doesn't have the condition requiring the enemy to be pre-damaged but it costs 3 energy which sets it 2 turns later than mismagius and it doesn't have the hp to stick around..
Boss trapping a 2 retreat support mon and sniping around it is gardys entire game plan at this point. If you can swing the energy attachment onto it it's a good idea
You’re not a bad player! Really, on top it all… it feels quite impossible to know all win conditions and alt win conditions for all decks, and you play a lot of different decks.
