I was there at the event, and I would have loved to have seen Larry place in the top three. If I personally was a judge that weekend, it would have gone: 1. Larry Edgar 2. Sergio Layos 3. Chase Hawk 4. Corey Walsh 5. Ryan Nyquist
Hahaha chase hawk has been my favorite rider since i started riding/racing. Corey Walsh is coming up through the ranks, and Larry goes high as shit and had a huge bag of tricks. It's so nice seeing all of my favorite riders competing. It's also nice that people are starting to recognize style over tricks. Get at me!
Chase deserved that win. I completely agree with the judges decisions. Chase, and Sergio are two of the best and most fluid riders to ever pick up a bike. They both have un believable flow and everything they do is dialed, buttery, goodness lol Edgar is a good rider. Don't get it twisted, he definitely goes higher than most people and has a good arsenal of tricks. But this wasn't X-Games. Bowl comps are more about a fluid well tuned rider than riders that go to the moon and know all the circus tricks. Hope that helps, and remember. BMX is love, if you want to be in a hateful sport.
