    Ever since the first time I heard you quote "Excellence is not a skill... It's an Attitude. I had a couple of sticka's made up and posted them in my office and shop. Love that quote. The quality of my work has increased ten-fold since I been watching your video's. By the way I'm a 100%er. Great job on the lift.

      That's great. I'm glad it makes people think when I quote that verse. It's a quote I try to live by. I think you for taking the time to watch and comment on our videos. Much appreciated.

    I know u more likely won't read this but I don't usually comment on videos but that was an excellent video.. I enjoyed watching it to the very end.. I liked the way u explained things, u made it look easy and we know that it isn't always that way especially with them old bolts and stuff.. You seem like a very wise man and much to learn from you.. I would love to hang around and chat with you, a lot to learn from you... Thank you for the video and God bless you and yours...

      Well Edgar I did read your comments. I try and read all the comments. Thank you for your kind comments and thank you for taking the time to watch the video. The lift turned out great. The old truck looks as good as new and rides great. Here’s a link of the truck. Keep well, stay safe and God bless you and yours. Cheers........Paul

    Great job guys.. Pretty involved project, more to it than I expected. Gives old blue a great stance, and some attitude.. I like it a lot. Easy to sit here and watch you work it all out, but have been into enough stuff myself to know that it was not an easy job.. As always, you make it look easy. Great project and great results, thanks for taking us along.......

      Well I had come to a crossroads this year with the truck. I either had to bring it up to a some what modern standard or buy a new truck. After weighing all the factors I felt it was better to fix Ol Blue up a bit. I don't need a truck all the time and dishing out $70.000 for a new one that will be parked 95% of the time didn't make sense so I think I made the right decision. Keep well my friend.

    You have the attitude as well as skill. That makes you a "MASTER", ehh?!? I better stop or I will give you the "big head", huh?!? What's true is true,ehh?!? Love the video. Again, you "knocked it out of the park". I have to replace my leaf springs and shackle on my ford ranger a few years back. It was not as extensive as what you did here, but it overwhelmed me. I had a local "shade tree" mechanic repair it for me. I wish I would have undercoated that truck as well as my new dodge ram I got a few years ago. Them rangers are bad fpr that, and maybe chevy has problem, too, with theirs as well, but undercoating would definately have helped. Thanks again and GOD Bless.

Get some rest and have a good day. I myself am off due to Independence Day, but in between rain and thunderstorms, I need to get some maintenence on vehicles done. Thank GOD for bro in laws to loan me their carport. LOL. Thanks and GOD Bless.

      +Paul Short I may try and tackle the task of installing my lights on my tractor rops. If so, I may get a video of it. Shouldn't be too difficult. I am going to do some research to see if I have an auxillary wiring for a rear light kit like some people claim bx25's do. That will make that a little easier. Let you go and get to work. Thanks for responding. Going back to bed, since wifey just left for work, til it gets daylight cause it is pouring rain now. Ohh, poo, no fireworks, I guess. LOL. No complaint from me for that. It scares all my "fur babies" anyway. Thanks.

      Had to grind it down to make room for the new bracket that needs to fit in place. I highly doubt it will ever make a difference but it was a royal pain in the ass to do. I did save major time by using the plasma to do it.

      Thanks Mike. Glad you liked the video. It’s tough to capture every step I did try and get the important part. Although I don’t use the truck that often I do pull a dump trailer and welding machine at times and I’ve never experienced any issues with the lift kit.
      I remember reading some of the reviews on the Rough Country site and some folks were stating they had a hard time doing an alignment after the install but in my case there no issues at all and everything went smoothly and the truck has been great on the road. Yes it rides rougher but not to bad at all. It gave the truck a nice stance and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

    I ditched the stock torsion bars for coilovers, thats a whole lot of BS in there using them old things lol Plus for anyone who cares about weight your removing about 100lbs of crap and replacing with 20lbs of course that's an extra expense most won't wanna spend but for a person wanting to do suspension upgrades and such its a very nice swap. Its basically a bolt on conversion, besides drilling a couple holes, trimming the shock mount area a tad and adding in a new bump stop

I bought in auction so I never knew if that was stock OEM or not. That's cool they did that, one less item to replace. And when those tanks rust, they damage entire fuel system from the pick up, to the pump, fuel filter, pressure regulator and even plug up injectors.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is but the difference is with a tortion bar is slag can’t fall on it and rest on it like a flat leaf spring. If slag falls on a leaf spring and rests on it the slag will draw the temper out of the spring.
