Looked at all SUV's in this segment and for me this was the winner. Tons of torque for towing my motorcycles and by far the most refined and substantial feeling of this class. I just got it so I don't have any fuel economy figures yet but 20-22 in mixed seems to be what I am getting. Highway about 24-25. I have not tried premium fuel to see if that will help fuel economy. Thanks for the review. It helped make my decision. I got a slightly used 2018 GT AWD for about 35k. Its a lot of car for that money. Now its all about reliability.

Really enjoy your reviews Chad. I appreciate when you reference the fuel type recommended and seat comfort and settings. Would like to see your opinion on the passenger side seat comfort and settings since some manufacturers skimp on options. Thanks again!!

Nice! Is the CX-9 that smooth and quiet like a luxury BMW or Lexus? My family owns a 2014 Mazda3 and 2012 Mazda3, both have decent to good handling but are loud and bumpy. How does this CX-9 compare?

Smoother and quiet..too bad the fuel economy wasn't that good, but it was 100+ degrees outdoors and we did not use premium gas. You can pick up a nice used 2016 for far less...

Man the heat really kills the mileage with that turbo. I'm getting as high as 23 mixed and 27 highway. You need to review the 2019 before it gets hot again.
