Thank you! 🥰 I watch Janey's channel too and I really like when she does these videos featuring the different growing zones. The gardens are so fun to see. 😍 And although she is in the same growing zone as I am (9b) she is dry and we are wet and humid. So, many of the plants she plants don't do well for me. I really like her channel and I watch a few other channels to get inspiration or find new plants. Happy gardening! 😊
I know Janey can’t include everyone in her video but I do really wish she included yours. Your channel was really the gateway for me to understanding how to garden for wildlife. Although plants can be seen as “decorations” they serve an ecological purpose, which your channel fully explores. I absolutely love your channel and look forward to all of your videos.
Your comment made my day - thank you so much! 😊 While I do love flowers that are beautiful and stand out, I guess I like the life in my yard more. I get asked now and then down here why I don't grow roses. Although I LOVE roses, they don't attract any life. So, I try to pick other plants that are beautiful, grow well in our heat and humidity, but also attract pollinators. The more life I attract, the more interesting my yard is to my husband and I. My neighbors benefit too because they notice visits to their yard. I will hear, "where are all these butterflies coming from? I just love it!". Janey included the video I submitted to her in November 2023 when she first did this series. My garden wasn't in great shape last November, but it was fun to do. Even if gardeners only plant a few plants for pollinators, it really does make a difference! Thanks so much for your comment!!!🥰
What a beautiful garden and you are an inspiration and I am learning so much! I am on my second season of dabbling with a pollinator garden and so glad I found your channel for this area. I hope your clean up goes well! Appreciate all you do!
Thank you! 🥰 Having a pollinator garden just doesn't get old for us. There is always something new to look at and experience. My husband and I have been astounded by all the native bees that started coming to our yard when we put plants in for them. It has been a process though. The first year was a big learning curve. Then we started to get "the hang" of things. I am so glad that you are enjoying your pollinator garden too. It really makes a difference when gardeners plant for nature. 👍😊
This was taken before the hurricane. Janey asked for videos in June. It was fun to look at what my gardens looked like before the hurricane. (Sorry I wasn't clear on that!)
Really impressive to see that hummingbird at the beginning just chilling while you record and talk. Mine are getting better about tolerating me, but will still bolt if do anything more than just sit and watch.
This is a female hummingbird that I feel we have had year-round for 2 years now. She is pretty comfortable in the yard with me. Other hummingbirds that come through are more hesitant around me. Although I feel we get some of the same ones that migrate because they look in areas of my yard where I had flowers for them the year before. It is fun to have "regulars"! 😄
You are so sweet! I went back and looked at this video because I took it before the hurricane. I liked looking at "what the garden should look like", and not "post hurricane"! lol. 😂

My gardens weren't in the best shape in November, but it was fun to do. She included my video then. I hesitated to do one again this summer because I assumed she would choose others she hadn't featured last year, but thought, why not? If she doesn't have room I will just publish it on my dinky channel. 😂
@@ButterfliesNBirds, you’re not dinky! My channel is what you call dinky.🤗 I’m in Mississippi and can relate to hot and humid.🥵 I too submitted a video to DPWR and didn’t make the cut, so I published it to my channel.👍 You’re full of fun information in which I can relate. Keep up your good work!💚
Your garden is beautiful. I watch Janey religiously and love that she is doing the Zone gardens again.

Your yard cleaned up great since your hurricane damage video and I am sure you are happy with the results.

I had a feeling you were going to do a video for Janey but didn’t see it this morning on her video!
