This campaign is going surprisingly well to be honest. I genuinely thought that the Skaven would be routing every single battle, but with all of the leadership bonuses from my lords/heroes and high food levels, they are surprisingly resilient. Once I start getting Life is Cheap on all my lords, this campaign is going to get serious.

Skaven have defeated the enemy in the battle, and lossed 10,000 skaven in the process.
This was considered, "minor casualties"
I tought 10 millions was considered minor casualties, 10k it's more like an irrelevant skirmish

In lore that is the skaven policy friendly fire not including enemy damage. A true skaven will kill more of their own (friends) than the enemy.
@@lunarlegion7157 Well in skaven society "friends" are not really considered "friends" they are either subject to experiment on, someone to take advantage of and that you will backstab one day, your enemy or simply put some stupid cannonfolder/meatshield. So yes this is very skaven like behaviour.

@@deezboyeed6764 Clan Skryre (including ikit) use skavenslave and clanrat to test their new weapon that most of the time explode killing them in the process.
Clan Mors (especially Queek) kill those that want to take their place as leader (chieftain, warlord...) and doesn't matter if an army of clanrat dies in a battle.
Clan pestilens send their plague monk to die in a frenzy because what biggest honor to die in battle spreading the great love of the the great horned rat's plague?
Clan Riktus backstab anyone because they feel like it (especially if it is from clan Mors)
Clan Moulder experiment on its own subject just like clan Skryre doesn't matter if they die.
Clan Eshin doesn't backstab each other because they have absolute loyalty to the council of thirteen, listen to orders and they are the ones who backstab. They learned this in Cathay because they were not like that before.
Should i continue? All of them are like that.

Wow, considering how many enemies both Kostaltyn and Tsarina have, you should be honored they're trying to skavenpile you early game.

If skaven ever made it to 40k, they would use the same tactic as the russians (allegedly) in WW1. Send in the first wave armed, the rest gets only ammo (if they´re lucky) - you can always count on the first wave dying anyway, so why bother with supplying the rest if there are more than enough weapos for the taking. heck, for thematic purpose, you could say only one in every thirteen troops is (hard airquotes) "properly" equiped
God I imagine thanquol saying this to some helpless hero as you get screen shots of tides of skaven overwhelming the world. Order and chaos alike falling to the endless piles of skaven
Personally I think a warlock engineer would be great if you used Death Frenzy on those skavenslaves. An AOE buff when you pile so many skavenslaves should complement it well. As well as having a plague priest who can further buff them with the poison AOE buff too.

Folkmar are "near" - +2/2 stats would be great too.
But most effective would be moulder buff that give to unit "rampage". Great attack and morale buff for them

I will be amazed if you are ever allowed to auto-resolve a single genuine battle this campaign. Skaven auto-resolve probability is fucked.

The auto-resolve isn't the worst so far. Definitely not favorable, but it's quite a lot better than it was with the Gun Campaign.

I've been watching a lot of Coffezilla recently and goddamn do some TH-camrs (who rhyme with Bogan Baul) do unethical shit lol. Not planning on any Crypto pump and dumps or anything like that - although I certainly hope that no one would fall for it if I did after dozens of TH-camrs have.

Amazing video! It seems though that its impossible to ACTUALLY only use skavenslaves since you need heroes, summons like clanrats etc. I think your run is the closest we will ever get, keep up the good work

If you activate AI control, I think you can skip reinforcement timers, and it becomes easier to micro
Lore casualties, but much more chaos to interrupt enemy lines and even more fun on a battlefield xD

Tbh I ended up getting Total War Warhammer 2 not long ago (I'm usually way behind on getting all the good stuff these days) and I played and finished Clan Moulder, and I remember my friends telling me to use Clan Rats, but I had like 4 armies filled with skavenslaves and that's really I needed.
The bonuses and expandability of them was great! The Moulder mechanics basically made them even better as long as you are careful.
God..it's such a grind though. Auto resolve is off the table. And you will need to prioritize food and growth and uner cities because you will need that Menace From Below.

Fun campaign, you're missing out on a ton of money tho. Whenever you have spare movement with skaven, you should sack THEN occupy, as skaven reduces it to tier 1 anyways (without food boosting). So it's really just free money.
But if sacking gives u less than about 1200-1600 gold then repairing main building is actually have higher price. And of cos PO penalties strong, but...
Province would rebel anyway, and cities would be auto repaired anyway too, and... u really have to build only 2 economic building, so))))
Really appreciate these videos. I have been having lots of trouble learning the skaven and I feel like we're getting step by step guides on how to manage a wacky army of fun.

Algorithms for the algorithm gods! TH-cam has led me to stumble upon this video, and by extension your channel, and I love what I see. As someone who makes copius use of the AI general mod (I can only play a little over a half dozen battles before I get exhausted from micromanaging everything) it's a delight to see what someone who's CRACKED at this game can accomplish.

This looks great so far, honestly surprised they're trading as well as they have been. The auto resolve is never gonna be your friend though, unfortunately.
I am curious if you'll be leaning on heroes carrying the battles since you called out the warpstone engineers. Given that the AI is super prone to bunching up in Warhammer 3, you probably can get some amazing spell casts.

This is an excellent idea my friend il be more than happy to tune in for the rest of this campaign , the poor skaven slave , he has not much life to give but what he has he gives , it will be very interesting to see if you can drown the world in skaven slaves , assuming that is your plan , also what upgrades are we looking to give our boys ?

Plague Priests might be the best Skavenslave hero since they can spawn clan rats (not quite skaven slaves, but close) Also the mounts, magic, and other benefits would compliment the horde style of play quite well.
At this rate, I'll probably have more armies than I can recruit heroes for a bit. Might end up getting every type of hero. I think it will be cool to see which performs the best in this challenge.

Without spoiling too much of the next episode, I got his trait on 3 of my lords. Also, that first battle was only possible because of Throts regen. He's an absolutely tank.
Quantity has a quality all it's own.
Id go with plague priests instead of engineers. The plague spell is amazing.

i love this idea great video
warlock engineers are a good choice for the mobility and the doom rocket they get can deal with crowds, they also have lore of ruin which is handy, i dont play TWH3 since i dont have it but in 2, they dont have arcane conduit so magic gain will be slow, if you're gonna have only one hero in each army and reinforce each army with another, i suggest having one with a plague priest in it for plagues and arcane conduit, maybe have a pack master or assassin in the third army just for diversity or lord fighting but all your choice in the end! Also, if you get enough multigene, i suggest just hammering down on one unit to unlock all the ones you need, blend it and then you have all the mutations you want without having to slowly climb up and risk. So you can have slaves with regen and necroparasites without having to risk mutations over time. Hope that was easy to understand

I really, really like watching your videos and TWW3 videos in general, so much that I want to try it out myself, but I am a little bit afraid that I will get overwhelmed with all the stuff you need to learn and know. I played Shogun 2 a few years ago for about 20 hours before I just forgot that it existed, but I remember enjoying it. Is there a good tutorial in this game for relatively inexperienced players?

The vermintide experience
This is basically how I played Queek in WH2 before skaven got DLCs, just replace the slaves with clanrats. The auto resolve results were so bad I had to fight 90% of the battles. I pretty much steamrolled everything though with 4 stacks.

(On a serious note, i have at least an army of only skavenslaves to support each of my main armies in a normal playthrough by midgame. it's just great that they're almost free to upkeep and their sheer mass of units helps a _lot_ in all battles. Put a unit of skavenslaves to occupy any unit and put a unit ratling gun behind them? Easy victory)
So true. I did the same with Brettonia and peasants. I had one really high tier army to march in behind a stack of peasants and peasant archers.
