Is it possible to make the virtual monitors move with your head (stick to your view) instead of keeping in the virtual space? I'm looking for a solution to read when I walk in my treadmill and avoid that my head movement makes the screen go up and down from my eyes' vision. Maybe this one or another AR glasses you can recommend for that
Well, for VR headsets that could be solved with software. I think Immersed might offer that option. Otherwise I have a couple of reviews for AR glasses, which display a screen that moves with your head by default and they’re much lighter weight too.

Question when I try to download a game but I set the head set down to say go cook or bathroom I come back and the download resets. Any way to fix that?
The headset should just go into sleep mode and continue downloading by default. You can use ADB commands to disable the proximity sensor, but that will mean the headset stays on when you take it off so it will drain the battery way quicker.
Sadly I haven't found a workaround for having the mic on by default, but I generally record my audio separately anyway since it gives me more flexibility in editing. Thanks for the feedback though, I've shared it with my contact at Meta, so if you ever see that showing up in the Camera Settings, know it came from you :)
Thanks for all comments. Only wrong statement was about charging the battery. Li-ion batteries don't have a memory. They don't need regular full discharge and charge cycles to prolong life. Is there any way to align the guns with the controllers better? It seems that in several games, when I hold the Q3 controllers in a natural grip, guns are always pointed slightly outward rather than in line with my forearm. It's affecting my aim, and I never had this issue with the Rift cv1. I've been rotating the controllers in my hands to compensate, but it's uncomfortable and they always find their way back to the natural grip.

Not as far as I'm aware, no. It might be a bit finicky until you get the timing right, as of course holding the Meta button for too long without pressing trigger will just reset your view. For the screenshot you can just press both simultaneously, but for recording I've noticed you need to just very slightly press the Meta button earlier than the trigger. So you press the Meta button and then immediately after start holding the trigger. Play around with it, it should work!

ABOUT the calorie counter: There are new studies and breakthroughs in science such as Pontzer's. And its explained also by kurzgesagt. It seems that people are born with a certain metabolism. People tend to spend that energy, and they also tend to stop burning it. If you burn more, you will not be able to sustain it and your immune system will break down or you will no longer grow. It is therefore the case that people with a high metabolism are predisposed to more physical exertion and therefore an athletic build. It is almost negligible that someone with a normal metabolism burns more calories due to muscle mass. The difference in daily calories burned is mainly innate. It seems that you have to make do with your innate metabolism. Hunters and office workers both burn 2,500 calories per day. Regardless of muscle mass and physical activity. It is therefore not recommended to exercise so that you can eat more. The most important thing is that you eat according to the needs of your metabolism. If you consume more calories, you cannot compensate with exercise. So the calorie counter should not be used. Instead eat less.
You can’t improve fov based on settings since it’s a physical hardware limitation. The only thing you can do to slightly improve it is to get a facial interface that gets your eyes as close as possible to the lenses.
You can just set the in-game resolution to something like 480p. It will only affect the preview window and will dramatically cut down on resource usage without changing anything for you in VR.
Funny you should ask, cause I'm actively working on a video about that. But in short, if you're strictly interested in 3D movies and nothing else, then a pair of AR Glasses might be a better and cheaper alternative. But if your options are Quest 2 and Quest 3, then the Q3 definitely looks way better due to the new lenses and screens. That being said, if you're on a budget, the Quest 2 still produces great results for 3D movies, it's just a bit less comfy and has less clarity.
The 2 is far from outdated. Dont let the mixed reality on the 3 allow you to think your missing out. It’s going to be another year before it’s out of beta mode. The 2 is still very much magical. For 3D movies you’ll find the finest 3D I’ve ever experienced. Imax size screens
@georgekarolemeas1371 thank u, i didn't buy any one. I searched & found the Quest 3 better in resolution. I thought before that there was no difference but quest 3 It is the option.
Are the AMVR controller grips compatible with the Quest 3 charging dock? Also, you mentioned charging tips towards the end, I leave mine on my Quest Dock like how you have it in the background so is that not good? I thought that is what that charging dock was designed for so that you can leave both the headset and controller on there for convenience. It appears that you do the same.
Unfortunately the AMVR grips don't work with the dock. I still use the dock to store them, but it doesn't charge the controllers with the grips on sadly. Regarding the dock, yes I leave my Quest 3 on it all the time. I've honestly heard both takes on it, but it would be kinda ridiculous for the dock to damage the battery long term, as that would defeat the purpose of having a dock, right? :))
@@VRManCave Thanks for responding. I’ve heard the same and I had a suspicion about the controller grip. That’s the problem with the dock, I love it and it looks great but any type of third party options for the headset like a front shield cover or grips for the controllers won’t work with it-for charging. I have always bought some type of plastic front cover for my headset and based on how the headset sits on the dock there is no way that one can be put on. Just waiting for maybe vinyl stickers with cool designs to buy for it. I’m mainly concerned about the headset looking dirty and dingy after a while since it’s white. Well it’s a new thing thing on the marketplace so in due time more third party stuff will be available. One more thing. Do you charge your BOVO headset B2 battery on the dock or separately. I’ve heard some say not advisable, some say it’s fine it will charge the headset and the BOVO battery while attached to the headset on the dock. What’s your take on that? I’m getting my BOVO M3 soon and wanted to know if it will charge the battery pack while attached to the headset while sitting on the Quest 3 Dock or should I just charge the BOVO battery separately.
Well, two things I’d say: 1. It usually looks a bit better on the recording than it does in headset, and 2. I have studio lights that are bright and give off very “clean” light, which helps the quality of the passthrough a lot.
see the curved trim piece at the top of the shelving in the back? You have it facing the wall. That is supposed to face out. You can’t improve fov based on settings since it’s a physical hardware limitation. The only thing you can do to slightly improve it is to get a facial interface that gets your eyes as close as possible to the lenses.
@@VRManCave okay thanks for the suggestion. ❤️
I'm more concerned about how not to cast to my pc. Any game I run when using pcvr automatically casts to my screen and eats up my gpu.
You can just set the in-game resolution to something like 480p. It will only affect the preview window and will dramatically cut down on resource usage without changing anything for you in VR.
@@VRManCave I'll try that. Thank you!
What about 3D movies، do you advise Quest 2 or 3 ?
Funny you should ask, cause I'm actively working on a video about that. But in short, if you're strictly interested in 3D movies and nothing else, then a pair of AR Glasses might be a better and cheaper alternative. But if your options are Quest 2 and Quest 3, then the Q3 definitely looks way better due to the new lenses and screens. That being said, if you're on a budget, the Quest 2 still produces great results for 3D movies, it's just a bit less comfy and has less clarity.
@VRManCave thanks for help. Yea I'm really interested about 3D , I will buy quest 3. & I'm really excited about review 3D quest 3.🫶🏼❤️
@@VRManCave
Thanks for responding.
How you passtrue is so crispy
Well, two things I’d say: 1. It usually looks a bit better on the recording than it does in headset, and 2. I have studio lights that are bright and give off very “clean” light, which helps the quality of the passthrough a lot.
Why is there no 120 hz option in my settings?
the boundaries is so bad thanks for the idea of the mat
Your shelves are backward
What do you mean backwards? :)))
see the curved trim piece at the top of the shelving in the back? You have it facing the wall. That is supposed to face out. It covers the seam between the metal downpillar and metal cross beam and softens that sweet industrial look just a tad. Functionally it makes no different if you aren't securing the shelf to the wall. (mine is not attached to the wall either)@@VRManCave
It's actually inside out
💀💀💀
@@JOlivier2011 It’s actually from IKEA and identical on both sides. I thought it was backwards too but it has all the same holes and everything on both front and back 😄
Making sure your battery is drained before charging it, that was only a thing for old batteries back in the day. Pretty sure this is not really a thing anymore with todays technology.
He said almost drained. So 15-20% is when you should charge them and don't let them go beneath that. That's the standard.
@@NoMoreLies365 Gonna take your word for it, guess i was too quick on the trigger.

so my Mata Quest just have Nightdisplay there ...... nothing else
Phone notification setup does not work. App just spins and never completes setup
Maybe try reinstalling the Meta Quest app on your phone? It works fine for me.
@@VRManCave @tomleith3546 Same here - just the spinning and it never completes setup. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Meta Quest app, connecting my iPhone to the Q3 via Bluetooth and no joy. I thought maybe since I was connected to my Q2 it would only allow one connection. Removed the Q2 connection and still no luck.
Why i have 60 fps only
I don't see 120hz on display
I don’t see phone notifications.
NO LONGER has phone notifications.
@@kendrickgriffin374 OK!
Why is the tec 9 full auto 😭😭😭 do game devs just not do research anymore

@@VRManCave for some reason this comment was made on a different video than it was intended lmao
Okay, first of all, it doesn't matter what you put it on it. Dies fast, no matter what.
Not sure what you're talking about but okay :))
Slow tf down when it comes to images Jesus
Haha fair enough. Tutorials are boring by nature so I’m just trying to keep them fun to watch. Most people enjoy my editing style but I will definitely keep your comment in mind, thanks for watching!
useless
Your comment? Indeed, I agree 🤣
i need help when i try to send a video to my friend on meta quest 3_ there's only chose an image
How do you move the main settings bar that's always stuck at the bottom? Can't seem to be able to drag it around
There’s a “handle” when you move your pointed underneath it.
SYSTEM DISPLAY DOES NOT ALLOW ADJUSTING REFRESH RATES.
DUE TO THE LATEST UPDATE THIS OPTION HAS BEEN REMOVED.
@SolidBold00 Why is there no 120hz option in my settings? GREAT QUESTION RIGHT!
Because it’s now dynamic refresh rate. If you want to still be able to change it manually, check out my Quest Games Optimizer video.
Can we cast my phone screen on meta 3? Please
Not quite cast your entire phone but you can get notifications from your phone.
