This is a special stage mod pack for Sonic Mania + that adds 6 tracks from Super Mario Kart (SNES). This pack has the original stage layouts with blue spheres, rings and UFOs. The mod also features a custom menu to have an easier access to the stages and character selection.

i mean, yeah, Both the Sonic Mania special stages and mario kart are like racing games, so the mario kart stages blend in nicely
A lightning shield to attract nearby rings and spheres would be an interesting addition to this game.

This was amazing! The concept fits so well with Super Mario Kart. I'd have to say Rainbow Road is my favorite course, even if it can be fiendishly difficult at times. The music in that stage is very memorable (although all of Super Mario Kart's music is in the same league).

I can tell you that you can catch every of them in less than 10 secondes on every tracks. I made it so you can speedrun it, yes, even rainbow road.

Sonic is Mario, Tails is Luigi, Knuckles is Yoshi, Mighty is Donkey Kong, and Ray is Toad.

I can see Sonic, his dad (Knuckles) and his cousins (Mighty and Ray).
As a big fan of the OG Mario KART and the Sonic special stages, this was really cool! Mario Circuit 1, Bowser Castle 3 and Rainbow Road were all really sweet. These two things combined kind of reminds me of that sonic racing game that was released (on Saturn?) back in the day. It'd be cool if they were able to add multiplayer, weapons, and acutally make it a race! :D
It was called Sonic R and it was awesome, not to mention it also had the best bgm soundtrack of any sonic game rivaling crush 40's stuff. IIRC i think it also available on PC

@@KingHalako Yes, that's the one! I'll have to check the OST out, Sonic usually has really good music. I think Sonic 2 is my personal favorite. Maybe I'll try to get a copy for PC. :D
@@BlueTelevisionGames I've never played it as I never owned a Saturn or knew any one that did. I hear it's pretty neat, but the controls take some getting used to.
We need a full game of this, like the entire games changed to be like that.

This looks neat!! Mario Circuit wow it looks cool! Donut plains seems pretty fun! Vanila Lake . . . oh boy . . . how many times did you die! so you just got unlucky, and it was hard. Oh Ghost Valley! I loved this in MKWii. Wow, you just got trolled by the ghosts, that was rude. Bowsers castle cool. Woah! Rainbow Road! Fitting final level! Wow it super cool! My Favorite was either Ghost Valley or Rainbow Road. Thank You for the Yoshi at the end!

Even though this is not Super Mario Kart, it reminds me of all the annoying mechanics in that game (though in that game, at least, the ice blocks disappeared after bouncing you back).
I like the Rainbow Road track best -- preventing pretty much any blitz strategy, forcing you to worry about the rings as well.

Ever since SiIvagunner posted that negative review of Sonic Mania in 2018 (disguised as a rip) and it bought up how its special stages were structured just like that of the Mario Kart games, I wondered if anyone was going to mix the two together. Needless to say, it was definitely worth the wait.

There were some old Sonic kart racing games on Master System/Game Gear. They were Sonic Drift and Sonic Drift 2. Maybe you could do them for a future video.

Ghost valley two was my favorite Because you got trolled and it got added to Mario kart 8 deluxe as dlc

Combine this mod with Mario Mania It would be awesome
Past themes on the original Sonic CD on the Mega CD are played on the PCM, which is like higher quality SNES music, I wonder how Super Mario Kart’s music would sound in the Sega Genesis.

Which emulator does this run on i tried both snes and genesis but its not showing up in my phones directory after extracting
Fun fact mighty was created because Sega edited sonic when they removed tails from the game and made it knuckles chaotix. It's why both sonic and tails are in the credits.

Mighty pre-dates Knuckle’s Chaotix, he was first properly used in SegaSonic the Hedgehog
