There is a bug that I really hate in this game. When ever you save a level, It doesn't come up in coursebot. Also, when you select another character to play as in the NSMBU style, it still stays as Mario. These bugs really need to get fixed.
this game kinda fell off but in a summary: the code was sold by about $200 and the creator does NFTs (that's the short summary but way more happened that is kinda messed up)
This makes me want to make some levels in the new themes and enemies. I like the idea of making the volcano theme the mountain theme's nighttime theme. It's oddly fitting.
I forgot about this game. It's cool that it's back! Though it seems that this is an unofficial version according to other commenters. The levels were still cool though!

If you haven't yet, I would definitely recommend it. My only complaint would be that controls on the PC version are a bit weird and cannot be changed. For example, left arrow is run/use power ups such as throwing fireballs. Jump is the up arrow, but crouching and moving left/right can only be down with WASD keys. It makes it a bit weird until you're used to it but besides that it's a very smooth game. Another thing I'd say, since you say you want to make levels, is that there is a glitch where the course bot doesn't actually save your level and I don't think there is any fix for it.
This is so cool it finally updated but did you hear? Smashy is making a fanmade super mario maker 3 for pc and laptops only but this will be way better the the real super mario maker 2 I will tell you to play the game!

There's a mod that allows you to have *English language* in this game in case anyone is wondering (and struggle with Spanish). Darb thanks for covering this game again and it's new content. They deserve some attention for all their hard work.

According to new dev Error404, he's adding in an option to add English in settings so I'm not modding the game anymore, he asked for my English sprites as well so yeah. If you want English right now, you can play 3.2.5, it has English and is also stable, but doesn't have the update features.
I like the pixels of the NSMBU U theme, it's like NSMB DS,and I like that a lot, I will see if I can download it for the future 'cause I don't have a Reddit account and I am a very lazy man. The team behind this game has do a very good job, and I hope that Nintendo will take exemple of that in the future.

ok so i went to download the game from discord but the download it gave me was the one before this one so no mountain/volcano theme or nsmbu chargin chucks or any of that where can i get this version?

18:03 from what I understand the game crashed because the game doesnt know what do do when a koopa without a shell touches a claw (look at the left of the screen)
Fun (and sad) fact: this is the first update in a long time because the creator of the fangame (and developer) left the game, the community practically disolved, and the big update they were doing (4.0.0 wich featured a lot of stuff like upgrated graphics for the nsmbu style) got cancelled, this new update was done by some people who worked on the original versions and some fans. If someone asks, the creator left because he was tired, and he sold his youtube channel, so the person who now owns it isn't the creator or anyone that was on the original project. If the creator sees this: I hope you're doing well now, bud, you desserve to rest after working on this for 3 (soon 4 in april I think) years on this amazing fangame.
Honestly, I didn't expect this fangame to return after it was cancelled by it's own developer but yet it looks very cool! Maybe I'll even finish my quadrilogy of the puzzle levels too.

I am tempted to download this on my PC, to make cool worlds/levels for people to play.
