Ma'am have you done MD med from India or you are a UK graduate? And which is better to do oet first and then go for paces if one has passed Mrcp 1 and 2
As Karan rightly said, I have done my MBBS from Kolkata, MD from Delhi and now MRCP from London. You have asked a very vital question.. it depends on what you want to achieve by doing OET or MRCP? If you plan to do MTI, then do OET first and if you want to get GMC registration with MRCP, do PACES first.
Hi Karan It is not at all true that the examiners are unfair. However, the way a patient is approached in NHS is very different from what we do in India. Here the doctor says hello, smiles at every step of examination, is very very gentle with patient examination, says sorry and thank you at every step.. as overseas doctors we often lack those skills.. So the British examiner often feels that the overseas doctor is not doing what is expected of him. If a candidate does it the right way no one can fail them...So yes it is tough.. as PACES is an exam designed for UK graduates.. but I assure you anyone can do it if they play by the rules of the game:)
Hello madam, I have just cleared my mrcp part 2 exam, planning to give paces soon. As you have told we need 1yr experience in medicine. I have 3yrs experience in department of chest medicine and 4yrs experience in critical care dept. Is this valid?

Sorry to ask this but what level of English language I do need to achieve before entering the PACES exam? Thank you
Hi Umar Many thanks for watching.PACES is still following the old format, but there has been some changes because of COVID.Pleasr watch my video on PACES experience in covid where I have talked about these changes. Ma'am i hope u will understand my questions and will help me.
Hi Arpit It all depends on what you want to do. If you want to stay and work in the UK long term, it is always better to come in earlier in your career. Have you considered PLAB? Another option is to go for CMT training in Indian universities instead of MD medicine and then you can come and work in UK. Many options are available, it is upto you which route you want to take. All the best.
@@AceurMRCP Ma'am that means MD med from deemed university will not be upto standards of CMT? And ma'am if i go via CMT pathway and do CCT in UK will i be accepted as MD/DM in India? So sorry to trouble you bcoz of my queries...
HiArpit CCT from UK is recognized as a highly prestigious degree all over the world. Also, I would suggest that you can do MD medicine from any university as long as it provides you the right training in Medicine. Please remember that your postgraduate medicine training will build the foundation of your knowledge and experience as a doctor, which is invaluable. So choose your institution wisely. You have asked a very vital question.. it depends on what you want to achieve by doing OET or MRCP? If you plan to do MTI, then do OET first and if you want to get GMC registration with MRCP, do PACES first.
That is absolutely right:)
Ma'am I heard about , Is it true that UK examiner not fair for paces exam with IMG student? Is it really tough for IMG students right?
Hi Karan
It is not at all true that the examiners are unfair.
@@AceurMRCP thank you ma'am this is really helpful
Great
Hello madam, I have just cleared my mrcp part 2 exam, planning to give paces soon. As you have told we need 1yr experience in medicine. I have 3yrs experience in department of chest medicine and 4yrs experience in critical care dept. Is this valid?
Definitely this experience is valid. All the best for your exam. I am sure you will do very well.
@@AceurMRCPhi doc, does overseas experience in oncology counts after graduation. Non training job in home country ?
What oaces course you suggest and where will i find the podcast?
Hello
You can find a list of courses and links for podcasts in the description section of the video. I am making a detailed video on PACES Courses soon. Please keep watching this spaces.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience I have a few questions
1. How is the new format of PACES exam any different in preperation than the previous one
2. Did notes of examination helped you out in your preperation and as a beginner do we need to have some paper work with us while on the bedside?
3. Sorry to ask this but what level of English language I do need to achieve before entering the PACES exam?
Thank you
Hi Umar
Many thanks for watching.PACES is still following the old format, but there has been some changes because of COVID.Pleasr watch my video on PACES experience in covid where I have talked about these changes. You are allowed to carry paperwork for station 2,4 and 5 during your exam.
IELTS or OET is not required for PACES ,they are required only if you are applied for jobs in the UK.
hey i m 6year old mbbs graduate from india and since then i have been working. now want to take mrcp , is this possible to take ?
Hi Lalit
Which speciality have you been working in? For MRCP theory exam all you need is 12 month internship but for PACES you need clinical experience in medicine.

Or can I just apply with house job experience (after passing part 1 and 2) ?

Hello Dr Roy
Hi Hanish, how can I help?
Dr Roy
is it the same way we have to examine a patient as shown in pastest videos or can we examine as with indian learning
like for example
we approach a patient with PICCLE, pallor icterus cyanosis clubbing lymphadenopathy oedema ..... in those videos they start with hand examination and pulse...let it be GI , CVS , RS .. any system...
so what should be the approach... kindly tell us ... thank you
Ma'am
Pls can u help me!
I m confused whether to go for 3 yr Mrcp training in India or Md medicine in India.
I want to go to UK but i m bit worried about getting clearing mrcp or getting a job in UK after doing MD Medicine in india bcoz it is not sure that i will get a govt seat in Neet PG so just i want to ask whether md med from deemed university will be good enough to enter UK?
Ma'am i hope u will understand my questions and will help me.
Hi Arpit
It all depends on what you want to do.
HiArpit
CCT from UK is recognized as a highly prestigious degree all over the world. Also, I would suggest that you can do MD medicine from any university as long as it provides you the right training in Medicine. Please remember that your postgraduate medicine training will build the foundation of your knowledge and experience as a doctor, which is invaluable. So choose your institution wisely. I am sure you will do very well. All the best.
@@AceurMRCP thank you ma'am ... i'll work hard ma'am and its just so nice of you to help everyone ..
i m from india.. i have mbbs degree with 1 year of internship & 2 yrs of ttaining in diploma in non invasive cardiology..
which documents are required to apply for PACES exam? are there any clinical training & recommendation letter under MRCP holder doctor mandatory for MRCP paces exam..?
Hi
It is recommended to have at least 2 years of clinical experience before applying for PACES which you already have.No recommendation letter is needed as such, only the contact details of your supervisor in your current job which could be your department head ,your thesis guide or any consultant who works closely with you.
@@AceurMRCP thank u ma'm
Send me books MRCS if you can 😢
Sorry I have not done MRCS.

Hi, very helpful video.
Planning to appear in the last diet.
Which video s do you recommend/ used for the examination routine/ flow to be used in the exam? Am confused between clinical skills pro and passtest to subscribe, would appreciate your opinion
Hi Suresh
Many thanks for watching. Pastest is the gold standard for PACES videos and is a must watch. If you have money to spare , then clinical skills pro is a second choice, which has more variety of cases. All the best for your preparation.
