- In this video i am showing how to kill all three legendary animals in new austin as arthur using a buggy wagon. the outfits will be available at the trapper and the talismans will be available at the fence after u killed the animal, u don't have to skin the animal. you could do this in one go if u are skilled enough or u could die after killing an animal if ur wagon has taken many damage, the outfits and talismans will be available at the trapper and the fence respectively.
the animal's picture will be drawn in the journal only if u study the animal before killing it.
TIP: The wanted sign which appears there when the pinkertons first see u, u shouldn't lose it. Now when u get away from them and the wanted sign is about to vanish, make some noise with ur gun. If the wanted sign vanishes, another group of pinkertons will spawn from nowhere.
Now another thing, u must lose the wanted sign when u cross that bridge, otherwise there will be pinkertons in the new austin area roaming about, and if they see u it will be big trouble

The buggy wagon is only available at saint denis. so each time u die or the wagon get destroyed, u hav to start again from saint denis. i suggest u make a save file at saint denis.

Can I use binoculars to spot legendary animal without being shot by a sniper from a buggy?
@@หน่วยต่อต้านพวกแพะกินเด็ก u only have to kill the Legendary animal in order to complete the compendium and get the outfits. If u can study it, Arthur will draw its picture on the journal which is not really necessary but u can do it if u want to.
U can't use the binoculars, u will instantly die from the invisible sniper.

Three things:
You don't have to get out of the buggy to skin or attempt to skin. Look at the map and if the animal is crossed out, it is yours.
There is a button to go into free roam so you can move around in camera mode, On PC it is the V key.
Use explosive ammo for a one or two shot kill.
Why would rockstar put legendary animals in new Austin, yeah you can go as John, but that makes no sense, Hosea gave the map to Arthur.
Exactly, its truly a shame that we can't do many things as Arthur.
It is speculated that originally we could explore NA as Arthur, just not Blackwater. I guess something changed in development last minute that lead them to lock out Arthur from NA completely. This would also explain why Arthur has the cutscene with the archeology lady.
because if you play Arthur You've been collecting items, side missions, everything is complete.
playing as John later in the game John would mean nothing.

I can’t find the bison. He doesn’t show on my map, and I walked all around that area not finding the tracks. I spent probably 20 minutes circling the area until I got careless with the angle and got instant killed! So mad!
That constant shooting into the buggy to pull this all off is mindnumbing lol. I would have to do this with the sound wayyyyy down or I'd be flinching the whole time.
I DID IT!!! I also got all 4 herbs for herbalist 9 while huntiung the legendary animals. it took hours but very rewarding. I'm a fucking pro at the camera angles now. Thank you so much for detailed instructions helped me a lot.

Nice video. I already did the herbs but figured the legendary animals wouldn't be possible (or at least harder) as I figured that you couldn't study from the confines of the buggy. Once I saw this it was easy. Thanks! My only modification to this would be when you cut through Beecher's Hope, if instead of going where you cross the bridge to New Austin, if you instead cross the bridge right near Thieve's Landing it's closer so you can just lose the initial Pinkerton wave immediately instead of egging them along to avoid any second Pinkerton squad.

Wow I actually managed this pretty easily, although it took me a while to do the pronghorn because there was literally a random lawman just sitting in the way, so I had to get him to chase me so he could move.
How do you know where to place the red markers after the first clue, is it always a fixed pattern for each animal?
Did they patch this? I got al the way to the Buffalo spot, but it doesn’t show up on my map, and there were no signs of it.
My buggy keeps catching fire when it's shot at. Has anyone else had that problem?
My first try I made it o the bison, but area was busy. Made it to the pronghorn, whipped to fast round a corner and the camera was on Arthur, sniper got me.
2nd time made it have way to the bison. Shot through the back window
3rd time I barely made it past thieves landing.

I kept moving my camera just so that it wouldn't pan back to the middle, it was wonky but I managed to do it without dying once. And yes I had camera follow off.

Yes you get all the items you would usually get automatically after killing the legendary animal and sleeping
Using buggy and positioning for a forward shot in first person pov works for me.
Can you craft the talismans/ trinkets after you kill them?
Also I heard that you don't have to try and skin them. You can just kill and leave them and a message appears saying that you have abandoned the legendary animal but all the stuff will at the trapper and in your satchel.

I killed the pronghorn, it shows it x'd out on my map but I have no parts at the trapper or fence. I dont get it.
I managed to kill all 3. Bison, pronghorn and cougar. However the compedium of both bison and cougar updated since i return but not the pronghorn enven after a week. Any suggestions?
I'm still getting shot by the invis snipers half the time. I made it to the legendary bison's location and I was immediately shot. Is there something I could be doing wrong or do I just have bad luck?
Invisible sniper will always shoot u. The only way to tackle that is by adjusting the camera. Watch how i am keeping the camera in the video.
So if you skin the legendary cougar and die the pelt doesn’t get lost? it automatically finds its way to the seller?
Yes, for all three of them
You can craft explosive rifle ammo to insta kill legendary animal (not sure about bison so maybe repeater explosive to shoot it multiple times during 1 dead eye). Also, are those lawmen from Greate plains or did you lure Strawberry ones? My buggy horse is alway masacred by Greate plains.
edit: I found in comments that they are from Grate plains :D
Using explosive rifle ammo is really helpful. Thanks for pointing that out. My horse and buggy got killed and destroyed many times too, i always try to keep a distance b/w them and me so that won't happen.
Will you also receive loot such as the Tatanka Bison horn from simply killing it and respawning, or do you have to skin it?
No need to skin it.

Is there a way to get the sniper to stop shooting besides doing it during the Bronte Mission? I watched another guide saying I could catch legendary fish during the glitch, but it didn't say that I had to go to the area outside of the mission before doing it.
There isn't any way to stop the sniper shooting other than Angelo bronte mission glitch that i am aware of. U could evade it using a tent wagon or buggy.
If u want to catch the Legendary fishes as Arthur, u could do it in the Angelo bronte mission glitch. But the fisherman mission will only continue after the prologue even if u catch all 13 fishes. If u want to study or kill the animals which are exclusive to new austin area, then try out the off map method.
@@gotyahb4tch520 that stopped happening to me when i lose the pinkertons before crossing that bridge. Maybe you can spend some time checking out the other 2 and then come back to the bison location.

PSA: you don’t need the glitch to complete master hunter 10 as Arthur, there’s a legendary Panther south east of bolder blade.
Maybe I’m missing the point here, but isn’t there literally only one Legendary Panther, which shows up in only one location, that is obviously not a banned location for Arthur?

How does your compendium say skinned if you didn't skin the animals and dieed
It is like that for every Legendary animals. After u kill the animal, and forget or cannot skin then died, the skin will be available at the trapper.
What do you do if there is too much activity in Tantaka bison area
Just leave the area and kill the other two animals and come back. If is still there u have to do it again. It is because of the wanted sign by the pinkertons.

Its available at new austin and u can get it by doing angelo bronte glitch
How do put the marker exactly where the clue is? Can you equip that many tonics?
I looked up the clues location in google beforehand. Sometimes it may not be accurate but u get it really close.
You can equip that many tonics if u upgrade ur satchel from pearson in the camp. U hav to hunt and get him the right animal skins.
Why can't rockstar just let us explore new Austin... It's so easy just make the regular patrols (not the ones that spawn on top of you) and remove the stupid sniper. And block out blackwater of course. You can still have the danger but not make it impossible without exploits
Can you also show the best way in souther West Elizabeth to New Austin? Protecting myself against invisible sniper is pretty much easy but getting through West Elizabeth, full of those annoying overhyped lawmen, is pain in ass.
This is the only way. Whatever u may try, the pinkertons will spawn when u try this method. If i knew a better or easier way, i would shown that instead of this.
Check out james wilson's channel, he has found a way for Arthur to get to new austin using replay mission option.
There is method where you let Strawberry lawmen follow you to Great plains (they have shitty aim). It should block the harder ones to spawn. But if they lose you (law searching indicator decreasing) then GP ones will appear.

U don't have to die after u kill one legendary animal. You can kill all three in one go.
Nice video. Not to change the subject, but is it easier using a buggy for the herbs than the wagon? I gave up on the wagon lol
Buggy is really faster and much easier if u know how to keep the camera angle. You also might need to know how to get out of buggy and pick up the plants which is the hardest part. Thats the part where Tent wagon is better than buggy. But if u want, u can try it with a buggy. Check out edensapplegaming videos, he post a lot of videos with buggy.
the only advantage is that the buggy is faster and can go up hills easier than the wagon. getting out of the buggy and actually picking a herb requires a lot of luck because no matter what you do, arthur's head will be visible for at least a few frames. but with the wagon if you have the camera angle down (which is really easy to learn) you can be covered the whole time. I managed to get all the new austin herbs in one run using the appleseed wagon. just practice picking normal herbs with it and watch some videos where they get the dino bones or the herbs so you can learn the camera angle.

Do you get the other materials from the animal automatically added to your satchel after you die, ie stuff used for trinkets? If not, are you able to skin the animal before/while you’re shot at? It would suck to have to miss out on those trinkets.
HOWEVER, still totally worth it to be able to kill all the Legendary animals as the most Legendary man of them all!
After u die, go to the fence and u'll see the trinkets are available to buy.
@@Omar-zg7zo not for me. Killed the pronghorn, showed the yellow paw print on my map. I got shot, died. No parts or skin at trapper or fence when I respawned.

I don't know, i actually haven't tried that. I just realised only if u study, Arthur will draw it in the journal.
I'm not sure but I think you can study the animals if you use a weapon scope. I recommend hitting the Legendary Cougar with a poisoned throwing knife or arrow and study it quickly

Yes u can make the trinkets as well as the outfits. You just hav to kill them and then u can die. Go to the fence for trinkets and the trapper foe outfits.
Can you also get the carcasses at the trapper?
No , this method only lets u get the outfits. We can't sell the carcass

@@kelefane6233 u can get tiger striped mustang for Arthur but not like this. That is through Angelo bronte mission glitch in which u can go to new austin without the sniper shooting u. It is impossible to get it when the sniper is active.
Could you kill one animal after another instead of getting killed after each animal? I want to try this in one go but having to ride into West Elizabeth for each animal sounds too time consuming

This wagon called buggy is only available at saint denis. I usually save my game at saint denis before doing these kind of glitches. So if i fail i can just reload from there. Its a long ride from there to new austin so be careful not to mess up. Its available everywhere in saint denis, i check them near the bridge.

What am I doing wrong, or has this been patched? Without fail, I get sniped once I drive thru Thieves Landing. I have a video showing what I mean under my profile.
I watched ur video. The problem is with ur camera angle, it was alright till u showed the hole in the back of the buggy at the centre of the camera. Try to always keep camera angle on the left side of the buggy without showing much of Arthur's body and it will work. Its hard to always keep the camera like that during the whole journey, but try it. Don't lose hope after trying just one time. Also turn off camera follow on settings if u haven't did already. Btw i also had problems with adjusting camera angles, but i learned by watching other's videos and learning from mistakes.

@@Omar-zg7zo, is there a way to control the camera angle so the it is looking at the top of the buggy, and thereby having the sniper shoot the roof??
@@highplainsdrifter9197 there is no option to fix the camera angle in that position. U hav to do it manually by controlling the right analog. The best thing to do is to turn off that camera follow option whoch i guess u hav already done.
Sorry to bother again but do you know why I keep getting one shot THROUGH the buggy? Or why my game respawns me next to Valentine everytime i die and i have to ride across the fking map again and again?
To avoid that one shot, you need to keep the camera in a certain way. U should not show Arthur through the hole in the back of the buggy. Adjust your camera every 3 secs. And when u get out of the buggy too, don't show any part of Arthur.
I suggest u make a save file in saint denis, where buggy wagons are easily available. And each time u fail ur goal. Load that save file, so u won't spawn in valentine. I know it is a long journey from saint denis to new austin but u have to travel.
But once I have killed the animal, can I also make the talismans from the fence?
Yes, u can.

Yes, even if u don't skin him, the outfits made by them will be available at the trapper.
Note: its really hard and not necessary to skin when u are doing this method. If only u could study it, then the picture will be drawn in ur journal.

U don't respawn, u hav to do it all over again if u die🌚. U can do all 3 in one without dying if u are gud enough.

OMG the Cougar is very hard to during the day. I've been going around in circles looking for 30 minutes. Still no cougar... I might have to wait for nightfall. Apparently the games sniper buys ammo by the case.
Wear headphones so u know when they are nearby. When u hear them go to camera mode and look everywhere to find them.

Question can you use eagle eye to see the yellow clues once your in legendary territory ?
It is really difficult because once u are in eagle eye and move the camera even a bit , u get instant killed by the invisible sniper.

Yes u could but it is risky because of the sniper, u might get shot instantly when u hav the wrong camera angle.

@@Omar-zg7zo Absolultely. I got off the buggy and started to skin but was shot immediately. I used powerful bullets and it didn't move also the"skin" option appeared. I don't know what to do...

Found the dung and broken sticks. The video skipped to the next spot for the fur. Where is it??
Just a helpful tip but you can glitch the sniper by opening and closing the menu. It resets him. You can start the skin and then just pause and resume til your done and can climb back in the buggy

@@boxingman4077 if you hit the menu button it resets the sniper. Meaning if you mess up the camera angle and need a quick fix. As long as you start the skin or pick the flower or inspect the bone/ point of interest just press the pause button constantly until you finish and can climb back in the wagon or buggy.
this is false. this will just let the sniper's game ticks run while paused, which will let the sniper fire even when paused, which means you can still be killed if you spam pause, so it's based on luck.
@@OutlawedPoet I’ve literally done it myself. I often jump out of the wagon/buggy and have mispositioned the camera slightly and you can see Arthur in full. The moment that happens I begin my skin/collect/inspect and do the pause-unpause trick and everytime the camera returns to my desired position with Arthur out of frame. Dont tell me something I’ve done is false. Wtf 😂

Couldn't get to third clue for the bison to spawn in. Also, tried to use the buggy you're using but it took three shots from invisible sniper before I got killed.
So which vehicle did u use?!
@@Omar-zg7zo the covered wagon has been working, I just tried the buggy again and this time it's actually blocking the shots, but I still can't find the third bison clue
@@michaellawhun5941 its not possible to kill the animals with a covered wagon. The only way you can aim a gun properly and kill the animal is with the buggy. Now the third clue, check the map from other people hunting the same animal.

U hav to get rid of the wanted sign when u are crossing that bridge to new austin, they only spawn in new austin if u still hav the wanted sign even after crossing the bridge.

@@fusionguava8336 yes it will, mine did too. You hav to do it some times and find a way to get the bullets hit just on the back side or anywhere else than the lamp part of the wagon.

How to keep the camera steady?
You can't keep it steady, you hav to adjust it every 3 seconds. Ik its tough but u get used to it. Make sure to turn off camera follow in settings.

Try to follow the video.
Make sure u hav enough supplies for health.
When u see them, ride as fast as u can. And try to keep them in pursuit from a distance till u cross that bridge or another group of pinkertons will spawn from nowhere. And if u don't lose the wanted sign after crossing the bridge, there will be pinkertons in new austin, which could prove annoying and difficult for u.
@@Omar-zg7zo the thing is they spawn in front of me so they kill me pretty fast and I can't fight them back in the buggy I tried to enter with the horse a while ago before I know there was a sniper and I manged to fight them and escape but with the buggy I just get killed everytime😢 anyway thanks I'll keep trying because I really want to kill the bison❤
@@killingmachine1358 is ur health bar really low, if it is try to make it higher.
The moment u see them in the map. Try to keep them on ur either sides.
DRINK A POTENT HEALTH POTION the moment ur health bar is depleted to half.
And don't stress at all.
Ride at full speed when u see them, don't try to take them on.
always go from beechers hope gate, and out from a mainroad for awhile, it work for me everytime

Maybe if it's not that slow I would recommend hunting with poisonous arrows, because you can get one shot and animal won't run far

the bow doesn't work on the buggy
I just tried this and almost made it to Bonnie’s ranch. Holy shit did they crank up the Pinkerton spawns. Seemed like I had 100 on me at once. Don’t know if it’s a patch or I messed up.

An indestructible wagon and a indestructible horse huh the Angelo Bronte glitch is much easier and you could have your own horse
But the Legendary animals and the herbs won't spawn when u go to new austin in that glitch
Btw, both the wagon and horse are not indestructible. My wagon hav been destroyed several times when the bullet touch the lamp present on the side of the wagon. And my horse also died a lot of times when it gets hit by many bullets or fall of a steep place.

That happens when u don't get rid of the pinkertons before entering New Austin. Try to leave the place and come back or go for the other two legendary animals , not the bison.

Dude this sucks, I hate that they did this, I just got the game and lost like 200$ trying to make the run on the horse for like 3 hrs not knowing it was made impossible on purpose it’s not “oh yo pay of a really high bounty” that would be fine, nope they just made a invisible sniper who can be everywhere, in this incredibly immersive game that really hurts the overall feel, if you wanna save na for just John that’s fine, give him his own legendary animals that Arthur doesn’t know about and keep these 3 in a playable area, I’m not about to ride for Saint denis to na 60 times to hunt a cougar cause I want a vest 😖 really dumb design really lazy
