How to fix "Waiting For Any Device" during ADB Fastboot (Custom Rom/Bootloader Unlock/Rooting)

The folder you scpecified doesn't conatin a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for x64-based systems. Man i got this error

Hey i'm trying to unlock the bootloader for my vivo phone, installed all the drivers but it still wont list under 'fastboot devices'. i have installed both official vivo usb drivers and also tried with google usb drivers. when i plug in the device it is recognized as an Android ADB interface tho. I've trying to do this for many months now. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks.

EDIT : I was expecting it to work while on USB debugging mode but I had to be in fastboot bode after reboot of course... 😅
Same with Mi 9... adb devices lists my phone but not fastboot device => "waiting for any devices"

it works. Just let mobile screen appear 'fastboot mode' and then find 'other devices' through PC.
