You should watch “who is BTS?: The Seven Members of Bangtan (introduction)” by suga and spice. Best video to learn about each member.
To be honest there is a lot of division on that video. We tend to reccomend it to new ARMYs, but most of us who have been here for a while have started to drift away from it due to some misinformation and bias in it.
I don’t actually recommend it since a lot of information there is already outdated. Definitely should spread XCeleste’s “This is BTS” video instead.
This is so fun.. The first one was Agust D, second one is J Hope and the last one who rap is their leader RM. They are 7 members from begining, 4 vocalist and 3 rappers. They are like a familiy for sure. I want you to watch some singles from RM( like "Joke") and J Hope (Daydream or Ego) too, and more from Agust D, and some of BTS oldest songs. I like your reactions so much, but I really want you to be more knowledge about they, because BTS is just something that really can hug your heart and become a part of it. 😂😂

Agree completely! I’m a baby Army (quarantine Army) and it took a little bit initially to figure out who’s who. Another way is to go on Weverse and binge watch all the Run BTS shows from the beginning. It’s their variety show for their fans. You really start to see their personalities.

When Bang Shihyuk decided to make them an idol group (before adding in any singers), a lot of the og members left except Joon, and Supreme Boi became a producer instead for BH

Fun fact that I noticed when I first started listening to them (and that was confirmed later) is that a lot of their songs are gender neutral-they typically don’t address a specific female/male person because they don’t want people to feel excluded (which I appreciate). I hope y’all check out Dimple/Pied Piper and Best of Me (my jam right now).

Agust D's BTS stage name is SUGA, (he was born in Daegu, so AGUST D is DT Suga (Daegu town) backwards) and he was the first one to rap, the guy who made you pause. For you to get to know the members better I recommend watching "WHO IS BTS: THE SEVEN MEMBERS OF BANGTAN", it gives really good explanations of each member. I don't know if you already know this but BTS originally meant Bulletproof Boyscouts, the literal translation from Korean, but in 2017 they expanded the meaning to Beyond the Scene. I hope you have fun learning more about them!

You were correct - the first rapper was SUGA/AGUST D, then J Hope and finally RM (the leader), Vocalists are JK (youngest), V, Jimin, and Jin (Oldest). These are their primary positions as the vocalists have all learned how to rap for certain sub units songs and all the rappers have added singing to their resumes for their solo songs and sub unit songs as well. JK has always been on the sub rapper line as he rapped in some of their earlier songs and J Hope was also a sub vocalist for the same reason. Hope this helps and good job on the reactions. And also. 3 declared rappers, 2 lead vocals, 2 main vocals. However our golden maknae jungkook can also rap. (You can see this in a lot of older songs - check out war of hormone or we are bulletproof pt.2) if you prefer the rap songs you just definitely check out the cyphers. My favourite are pt.3 and pt.4. And ugh!. These are all rapline songs. But pied piper, idol, Dionysus and blood, sweat and tears are great songs you should check out.

I think the "Who is BTS" TH-cam video that goes thru the background and talents of each member is the best intro to the group for newbies, so I really recommend it as your next step in getting to know the group....It's old, but the newer videos about BTS don't quite cover all the difficulties this fledgling group from a tiny new company faced.... I'm only 7 months ARMY and it was the most helpful with IDing each member and making me feel better connected and have a better understanding of their history.

There have always been 7 members (stray kids had 9 but woojin left), three are main rappers (forgot to add that the first one rapping/white top-black bottoms was Suga aka Agust D) and four are mainly vocals but they are honestly all so well rounded.
Such good vibes!! None of my family understands why I enjoy K-pop in general, but it's this! All of the groups I listen to are so uplifting it seems.

Officially....yep. But Kook was supposed to be a rapper, with Hobi being a vocalist. Kook and Hobi switched on Kook's request. Let's not forget Tony Montana. Jimin can rap, too, he's just not quite as talented as the official rappers because he was always meant to be in the vocal line.

That is AugstD (aka Suga/Min Yoongi). There are seven members. Always have been and always will be. Very important factor. When Suga had shoulder surgery late last year, they held his spot in all live performances. Whether they had a snowman take his spot or left his spot there fir when he returned. Further, they have now been together for seven years which they celebrated fully. Wow, you are going to continue to be amazed by these authentic, generous, talented, young men. They are amazing role models which we sorely need in these times. I am eager to watch you guys learn more and more about them! I purple you (I love you). 😃

Y’all need go watch them perform on an asian awards show. The US shows never have as impressive stages, but when they perform on their home turf they go off... anyway check out any of their MMA or MAMA performances. The choreography/live music is crazy. The MMA 2019 performance is like 37 min long but it is WORTH IT lol

Your intro is so cute! Also, you should listen to one of their ballads, I recommend "The Truth Untold" both the recorded and live version! And the first rapper is the one who is also known as Agust D. Bts has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists but the rappers do, do sub and background vocals in studio versions and vise versa. Also, this performance was considered more low energy for them, they have really intense numbers like "Dionysus" and "ON".

Watching "Who is BTS: The seven members of Bangtan" would be a great way to get a bit more familiar with each member individually. They play a lot of clips of BTS songs (in the BG) and if you like the song, ARMY will tell you what the song is with a time stamp so you can look up the songs that really impress you. (ARMY is awesome at that)
Also, they aren't all "Good Vibes", just an FYI, their songs are about real life, the highs, lows and everything in between. The songs they make are super relatable for all ages, genders and cultures. Their lyrics speak about self love, pain, expectatins, happiness and their dreams; past and present. The lyrics make BTS songs better than they were before you knew them.

7 members. Rm- leader, rapper and producer. J-Hope- Lead Dancer, Rapper. Suga- Rapper and producer. Jin- vocalist and oldest of the group. Jimin- Vocalist and oldest out of the Maknae line. V- other wise known as taehyung is vocalist. Last but not least Jk- golden Maknae because he is good at literally everything. Also knows and jungook and is the youngest out of all seven. They were also originally a rap group but they debuted as an idol group
