Jonathan, Fantastic podcast. I know Louis for ages and I am always mesmerize to hear him speak about tennis. I never met someone that can articulate all aspect of tennis development as Louis can. Thank You!
what does he mean about not crossing the centre line on a poach? And using ropes on Andy Murray? I'm curious about the geometry/angles/argument. Otherwise this was a fascinating podcast. I guess it makes sense to set up a doubles team w/ a doubles player + a singles player at least for amateur tennis.
He used ropes to show the path of the ball, and how on a wide ball, you don't really need to cross the center of the court to pick off the cross court groundstroke. I'll try to do my own TH-cam video to demonstrate this!
interesting; I can't find any video of murray w/ this. On your channel about the poaching, the lady crosses the middle. I always do... but perhaps I need to rethink this?@@StokkeTennis
You can find Louis using ropes to define a net player's territory for wide serves and T serves on TH-cam. It's dated (nearly 25 years old now), but the tactics based on court geometry are fundamental.

He's an incredible coach, I was thrilled he agreed to come on the show!
I'm loving your channel, Jonathan. It's awesome that you keep the recreational player in mind when asking questions.

th-cam.com/video/Bf9ioqjGkXU/w-d-xo.html Net player geometry begins at about 3:18 in the video.
excellent.Essential costruct from :Louis-too much information not enough transformation. Not enough flexible thinkers like Louis in tennis.
Louis is the GOAT
