I have owned Acura and BMW cars. I very much prefer this car. We have have always purchased these cars for travel a general keep the mileage off the expensive cars reasons. This is the third one we have owned since 2011. These cars have never given us any problems at all and have been so great to drive. They are very safe and roomy and drive really nice. Just because they haven't been changed in a while they get slammed by the reviewers. If my life depended on this car or our BMW i can tell you id never choose the BMW! Totally satisfied owner!
I saw very few Ford Tauruses until I purchased my 2019 Limited...so as I travel about now, I see so many on the road and no matter where, other drivers/owners do acknowledge car to let you know they see you and do appreciate the Taurus...truly a boss car to have. I agree with Randy, Also getting rid of the best selling mid-range car "Fusion" not everybody wants a truck, SUV or sports car, but I do love them stangs!
I’ve always loved this car, I hate that you can’t get these in europe, here we have the ford mondeo (fusion) but I love the muscular look of the taurus more

@@RepublicConstitution Yes. It's a major flaw in the 3.5 v6 across much of Ford's lineup. It's a great engine that can last a very long time BUT when the water pump fails it will leak coolant directly into the oil pan. It can easily destroy the engine and you won't even know what happened until it's too late. No symptoms other than coolant disappearing from the reservoir. The pump can also seize and destroy the engine that way because it's driven by the timing chain. Even today Ford is still building them the exact same way, they refuse to acknowledge that it's a design flaw. *edit* Forgot to mention that it's so expensive to replace the pump because you have to rip half the engine apart to get to it.

A great car that came out and saved Ford 35 yrs ago in the mid 1980s. Shame they aren't going to make these anymore!
