I enjoy your videos, and to be quite honest, as a rookie auto restoration guy, I like the content you've provided. There are a few guys that I watched over the last five years when I started my truck restoration journey, and have in the last year have stopped watching their channels since they've gone to the click content and not what their foundation content was (knowing everyone changes over time, but to get clicks ain't the way). To quote you, the "authentic Mike" is what I like about your channel. Keep up the great content!

Wow. Thanks, matt. I really appreciate that. I strive to give a transparent approach that anybody can relate to.
Your comment definitely struck a cord with me and I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you .
I will continue giving you what I have… And if you ever have questions or need more information about anything, don’t hesitate to hit me up.

I always enjoy hearing your thoughts, and I always seem to learn something new watching your videos, so keep doing whatever it is you are doing. You just be you. I don't know what it is about your channel exactly. I think I will call it "The Mr. Rogers Neighborhood effect". I just want to spend time visiting with you, as you like to say, "Spending a day in the shop with me."
    Until next time.

Thanks I appreciate that. I tend to think that what you’re responding to is the authenticity…
      At least I hope so.
I appreciate you, thanks for being here

Nice Mike!! I started my channel to help keep myself motivated to get in the shop. I don't think any TH-camr legitimately would not want to do it full time. I know I would. The truth about automotive TH-cam is it may be somewhat popular, but it is still a small niche. Some of the most popular channels only have a few hundred thousand subs. Channels like Mr. Beast (He is a NC native by the way and allegedly lives about 30 min away) have millions of subs. But like you said, "At what cost?" Valerie and I had the conversation the other day about getting views vs making the content that you want to make. She compared it to the few years I spent showing the Ranger. "We have 3 months until blah, blah, blah show, lets tear everything out and rebuild the entire stereo." The point of this is the Ranger was never supposed to be a show truck. Did I have fun? Did I win some "Best of" Trophies? Yes. But it put me years behind on the cars I wanted to finish to take to car shows. Now the important thing I learned is, car show trophies usually go to the person that spent the most money. And the most fun, to me, is talking to the spectators and other participants. Same with TH-cam, I can't do whatever is getting views and finish my projects. I also can't get new projects and finish my projects, LOL!!! RAWK!!!

I get that… In 2020 my wife encouraged me to start sharing what I do because she felt it would be valuable to others
I also realize that providing this resource for my kids and future generations would also be important
But I’ve also discovered that turning out three episodes a week keeps my ass to the fire. 🔥
I’ve been getting a lot done because of it. I get what you’re saying brother.
Keep doing what you do… You’ve got good stuff to share and great skills. I appreciate you my friend

I feel kinda the same way. I have made a few videos that were really only for the algorithm so I would keep forward progress on my channel growth. These last couple months I stopped and just worked on stuff that needed to get done around the house. Now I feel like I can get back in the shop and film again with some real content.

I think people will ultimately resonate with transparency and honesty more than showmanship
You put out great content… And I’m always looking for your next video.
Keep doing what you do… RAWK!!

Keep doing what you are doing. I would experiment with videos titles though. Like your last video instead of making big progress I would have had Installing vent windows on the 69 Charger and door assembly. I try to put as much in that title as possible so it pops up in searches. It does seem that getting new subscribers had slowed down a bit lately.

I’m always trying new titles, and video descriptions, without compromising the integrity of my content.
      I appreciate your suggestion…
I’ve been really encouraged to see that my sub account has nearly doubled every month.
Something is afoot. I hope the trend continues.
      I appreciate you being here

Good one Mike. I don’t like the. Click bait. Usually only gets about a min of my time. I enjoy watching the full videos you put out.

Although I would love the channel to be all Oakland all the time I realize I just may be in the minority on that one even though I can’t imagine why… I do enjoy the other videos too. It seems chasing views and followers works to a degree but often ends up with dumb videos.

I hear ya… The Oakland is an amazing car.
There’s going to be a bunch coming on that this winter as we have some unique challenges ahead of us with that project
I try to work on it with my dad when he is available and he’s been really busy lately.
Although - he had the car at his house for a couple of months.
But it’s back here now, and there are some things that concern me about it. So stick around. There will definitely be stuff coming on the Oakland.
I appreciate you checking out the other parts of my channel.
I have a lot going on in many areas I. this life I live - especially in the shop
Thank you for participating in the mayhem that is my life,
      RAWK!!
