Do you have the voume on your camera turned up? I keep mine as low as possible most of the time, which is 1 on my Sony. The more you increase volume, the more you'll increase the noise floor. So making sure you're recording at the appropriate levels is important. Make sure the volume on the mics are at a good level as well. If you have to bring up the volume in post, you're going to be bringing up the noise floor as well.
Did you do any post sound editing to get your voice clear? I recently purchased this mic setup and found that the quality sounded "cheap" like it was coming from a radio or walkie-talkie. I was thinking it may have been the positioning of the mics but after watching your video, I see that we had it at the same distance. I've also plugged in the receiver into my iphone 15 and I'm curious if that changes the sound at all.
Hey thanks for commenting! I cant remember if I did or not, but there is a chance I did. But definitely not during the direct comparison part. The iphone preamp vs the camera preamp will give you a difference in sound I'm sure, but probably not that drastic. It's tough to expect a lot out of the cheaper microphones, but if you have a little bit of chops in post, it goes a long way with these things, making them way more usable!
@@MattAzzarello Thanks for the response! You got me thinking about the 3.5mm to usb-c dongle that I was using. I initially purchased one from Amazon and the sound was bad. I went to the Apple store today and tested it out and it fixed the issue I was having. I'm not a technical person but I read that the DAC on Apples 3.5mm to usb-c dongle is better and I guess that's true! Thanks again!
Mine has such staticy atmosphere sound. I have to use a denoise app to fix it. And then the sound sucks after that. I don’t know how to fix that.

@@andyma5519 Ah that's great to know! Thanks for the follow up!🙏
Great video! How was the delay on the mic? Cómica said 25ms delay. Is it a deal breaker in regards to post production sync?
I can't say I had any issues! Everything you're seeing/hearing didn't have any delay compensation or anything like that.
Cheap wired lav sounded best, Least ambient sound.
@@jamescohen I feel you! The direct wired sound is still hard to beat!
