Father Stu movie brought me here. I cannot believe I never heard of Sturgill Simpson before I watched Father Stu. I listen to classic rock, but I have an appreciation for Waylon and outlaw country music. I like this; I’m a new fan.
Dude I don't know what Father Stu is but I just tonight discovered Sturgill and I keep having to take breaks from listening cause his voice is just so perfect and the lyrics seem to speak directly at me and it hits me so hard it almost gets too intense. I can't even believe what I just wrote but it's true and. I think his voice could be possible even better than Wayland whose voice is legendary and absolutely perfect.
Yep outlaw country is so much better than the cheesy grand ole opry. The synthetic opry country is mostly failed musicians that go there as a last resort and sing using an over the top fake “country” voice with cheesy songs that are borderline insulting towards hillbillies.
