If you’re 8 years old or older this aircraft, calling it an aircraft seems nonsensical since it’s never been airborne, will not fly in your lifetime. If you believe otherwise then you are truly a delusional imbecile.
it's just astonishing to watch Lilium grow and secure their spot on the market. It doesn’t matter how low the stock price is falling, I will always believe in you guys! Best of luck from Germany ❤️
@@avigator True, if the planned flight at the end of the year works out perfectly, stock price will most likely skyrocket. But until then I don’t think it will change much
Lilium is struggling. Others are far ahead. Hardly any testing done. All they have is fancy presentations, short hops with an empty remote control model, and very optimistic performance calculations largely based on speculation. Certification is far in the future, if ever. But it's understandable that you want to hype it to sell your stock before it crashes.
Wow, I want a small model like that. Will there be something like this available to buy? I would like to mount it on the ceiling in my living room. I like that very much. Wish you good luck in the next few months.
Would he agree to edit seconds long flights into one short video and make it look like it can fly several minutes and lie that it's great like they do?
They definitely have a different concept. I'm surprised no one has copied it, but I may be wrong. Everything else seems to be rotary wings. Exciting times.
Wait a minute. Where's the full-sized, loaded-to-capacity prototype? The project's been running long enough for there to be at least one test 'mule' that proves the concept's viability. Show me that, hovering over a car park in the middle of Leeds for an hour. In the rain. And a 20 knot wind. It doesn't have to look pretty. I don't care about external aesthetics or the plush interior or the executive-jet seats or the premium quality eco-friendly [vegan?🙄] trim materials. Show me a basic, ugly, HEAVY prototype, flying. I'm not convinced the thing - however elegant - is any more than a big RC model. Please, prove me wrong. 🙂
I imagine that transferring from vertical to horizontal or reverse may have to be done automatically. So when you decide you want to land you hit a button and the computer switches from horizontal to vertical flight and then slowly lands.
Technically I am sure this is absolutely possible, the only limiting factor is the energy. Batteries with 500Wh/Kg (hope I got that right 😬) is still not easy. And I am not talking about batteries that are possible in laboratories, I talk about mass market! But I am sure we are very close to that milestone. And yes I am an investor.
German engineers screwed it. xD He says 70% its size. Yeah the missing 30% is space for 5 passengers. I dont even mention the load. People are paying for romance.
The wings, Joby has no wings to glide if power is lost! JOBY already has had a crash! The design does not have the rotary of a helicopter that gives helicopters at least the ability in some cases to stabilize a fall. I think the design of Joby if power is lost, the thing will tumble over and over during a fall. I doubt the FAA would grant the final certification. It it doea nit have wings, don't invest is my thinking.
First they said it will be as cheap as a taxi ride affordable for everyone. Now it's only for multi millionaires. And it's already 2024. It's all big promises but nothing delivered.
You can't deliver an uncertified aircraft. They have hit all of their R&D milestones and continue paving the way for a highly efficient, emissions free VTOL transport system.
Let's consequently falsely keep naming this electric ducted fan a jet, maybe stupid people will eventually fall for it. It's just a wing with some Dyson's strapped to it.
Tesla sold cars before going public. they didn't spend years and hundreds of millions trying to figure out if it's even possible and showing cartoons and toy cars as proof they will be able to carry someone somewhere one day.
C'mon guys, less of the talk, get an aircraft built and get on with it! You've been showing us models, mock interiors and animations for years, we're getting fed up with the promises, where's the reality and the tangible?
They are doing everything exactly as they should. They aren't developing some sort of experimental hang glider! They are bringing to market an aircraft that has to have a fail rate of less than 1 in 1 billion. They are also partnering with a lot of big players. Also, are you unaware that the actual aircraft is already in the production phase?
@@benediktvesenmayer2750 Klaus has an education as an automobile engineer and a career as a manager at Airbus. He is lacking own experience in designing aircraft.
Lithium batteries - 20 minutes. Hydrogen fuel cells - 2 hours. After a while the only conclusion you can make is that they're wasting renewable R&D dollars on purpose on lithium. They Have some pipe dream of lithium being the replacement commodities investment substance for oil. So they're going to waste investors money on 20 minute flying machines.
Fuel cells are heavy, and the hydrogen and all the systems would take up a lot of valuable storage and passenger space, and that technology makes the whole aircraft a lot more complicated and therefore much more expensive to build. It is just not practical and economical viable for a small aircraft. So batteries make much more sense, It requires less space and it is much less complicated. And 1000 km gets you pretty much anywhere in Europe, especially with the VSTOL capacity. This aircraft is not for intercontinental flights. It is going to compete with small privately or company owned aircraft's. And the VSTOL capacity and low maintenance requirements and low energy costs compared to fuel makes it a very competitive and affordable aircraft.
Aviation will never be "sustainable", its a question of using energie. for Short sections of travel it will be allways more sustainable to travel on land (maybe not in the mountains or forests)
Of course it can be sustainable (that is, use zero consumable resources, and have net zero carbon emissions.) Whether it can do so in an economically feasible manner is another story altogether.
Ohh boy.. What do you call sustainable traveling on land? In my neck of the wood the traffic is jammed most of the time. Takes me 2 hours on average to ride through 10 km jammed city center. Day to day is annoying but when u have to catch a connected flight ✈️is absolutely irrritating 😰😡😠🤬 For evtols to connect satellite cities or city centers with the regional airports will worth all the $€¥¥€€$¢.. Unless u like to get stuck in traffic..

Been following with interest for a while and only just found out that it's not a full sized thing!!
It’s a remote controlled drone. 🤷♂️
The bigger it gets the harder it will be to fly and the little one can't fly well enough to show a full flight.
