Thanks a lot. I was trying to parry him and kept getting my ass kicked. Just hugging his right and dodging did the trick. I feel that this game tries to force you to parry while at the same time making every single enemy insanely hard to parry.
@@CernyGaming I rage quitted Sekiro first time I played it. But I went back and finished it 2 times while enjoying it a lot. Give it another chance, it's easier than you think.
At the end of the day it really was just as easy as staying close and strafing right around him in a circle. Realizing this only after dying to him for perhaps 15-20 odd times like a brain dead lemming lol. Good video
Still doesn't work well. He starts to spam spin attack if you're too close and then releases the fire wave or he simply starts dashing all over the place. So no matter what I keep dying from overheating, the attacks itself aren't that big of a deal. EDIT: I got few electric grenades ( Electric Cell and Electric Blitz Can ) and that was enough to finish him off as it does massive damage, electric weapon might aswell help, I personally used the Azure Dragon Glaive.
Use the electric coil weapon(I personally upgraded it twice). I used a specter and threw 3 throwing cells. Also I had vitality, vigor and technique at level 19 for reference).
Tried this strat, maybe my rng is terrible because he dashed away and started shooting me with fireballs, like im talking projectile spam, and getting close to him didn't help either, since he just started using the flame spewing attack even more. 😢
"Easily". The issues I'm experiencing seem way beyond what you went through. Almost like he's been buffed at phase 2. Somehow you manage to do 250+ dmg per hit ripping his HP bar down pretty quickly with basic attacks. My dmg with the same weapon at +3 barely does 170 charged. I've changed to using the blitz mace per suggestions so I can do over 200 but they're still small notches in the HP bar and I need to be at ball-tickling range to get a hit in. I can usually get him to phase 2 now, but can't get below like 40%. Your fight: he did a couple of quick attacks but mostly slow turning allowing you to get lots of small hits in. He threw 1 grenade at you and did 1 overhead charged attack. For me he often does the very quick recovery smash/fake kick, and at phase 2 blasts volleys of 3-5 grenades (dodgeable but wastes all my stamina). He even launches grenades at arms reach which are not dodgeable and sometimes knock me down and the fire kills me before I can even get up. You also didn't get the wrath of the flamethrower which is pretty much instant death. People mention using cells and cannisters but no one seems to sell them and I very rarely find them anywhere. I've died well over a hundred times now - I know because I try solo but I've also used >50 stars. I'm not great at Soulslikes but this is by FAR the most difficult I've encountered in this game.
So attempt 283. Finally beat it. He didn't go apeshit with the quick attacks, no grenade volleys, nothing short range. I should whine more on TH-cam if it means I beat him on the next attempt -_-
This boss marks a steep learning curve in Lies of P, which in itself is not the easiest Soulslike around. So, while this strategy may be considered "easy" for many, that doesn't mean the rule applies to all people - it's okay that you're having trouble. We all have those times. Hell, you should have seen how many times I tried to beat the Pontiff in Dark Souls 3 - it was humiliating! As for damage - the weapon I'm using is pretty good, but Lies of P gatekeeps its upgrade materials pretty well to stop people being too OP too early. My recommendation for you would be to look up if you've missed any upgrade materials, find them, and upgrade the weapon you perform best with. The Shock Stick may do good damage, but you see I don't use it because I suck with it. Make sure you equip the Puppet Destroyer's Amulet found near Krat City Hall. Don't give up buddy, you got this.
I must have got lucky! I'd probably treat it the same as all the other fury attacks and either dodge with the Ghostwalk amulet or just scrape myself up and heal.
If you need more Summons, you can farm Star Fragments at almost a 100% drop rate. Fast travel back to Krat City Hall Courtyard stargazer, turn around and go back through City Hall (killing the two soldiers) and through to the big guy in the park, on the left. He drops tons of goodies and almost always a Star Fragment.
They must have buffed him since your flight. His spinning attacks, if you manage to dodge the first one, now take him far away from you so you can't hit him. He also now has a right backhand attack where he spins at the waist and snacks you if you're behind him. Not fun.☹️
Well, after 11 tries I downed him. The biggest difference was using the Generate function on the electric mace (huge damage), and also spending the 10k I had on leveling up! 😜
It can be tough to know what is best to level. Your health is important to take a hit, but be sure your "armour" is up to date. You may have missed an upgrade or two on your travels. As for your weapon , some are better than others, and damage is hard to come by at this point in the game. However, if in doubt, look up the Electric Shock Stick and electric throwables that I've forgotten the name of. Hell, use whatever throwbles you've got to give you an edge if needed. Check that you have any available amulets equipped too, and don't forget to upgrade your weapon. Google where to find the materials if you need to.

Hey, it worked for me just fine. I practise it by getting my strategy down and then getting the boss down to 1 hit away, then letting it kill me. Then, I replicate it several times in a row to ensure it works. Perhaps it isn't the strategy or the game that's bs.
They must have patched him. He hits Extremely easy to his right and will spin in the opposite direction if you go right. As well he now stops spinning if you dodge it initially and turns to come at you. Essentially he mirrors his direction if you us your strat now.
Can be found in a chest. After stopping the flow of Corruption water from the Workshop Union Culvert, head back to the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer and head to the left, away from the stairs. Follow the path through some puppet Enemies and then head down the ladder to where the Puppet of the Future stalks about. The chest can be found at the end of this path behind it. This is the blade, attached to a different handle.
I didn't stop to farm ergo or upgrade mats, so not a very high level at all. I also could have used the Electric Shock Stick for much higher damage if I'd been bothered about backtracking.
Is there a reason why this game is agonizingly difficult? The developers should have included easy, medium, and difficult modes. Some players actually want to get through the game and enjoy the story.
This is the way Soulslikes are made. They are designed with the challenge in mind and market to a specific niche of player. Every game has their goal, and this one is to challenge the player.
This is my first time playing a souls like, and to be honest if you are patient and are able to keep a level head it is very rewarding. I'm really enjoying myself!
