Awesome! Thank you! ...I should have splurged and gotten at least 1 AI Pro in place of one of the G5 Pros...there is so much more AI object recognition, and license and car color recognition with the AI Pro... Maybe during black friday deals LOL...but overall, I'm still pretty impressed.
@@cooptonian The AI seems perfect for a driveway, but with the extender it takes 22W so about half of the outdoor PoE++ switch. The G5 Pro w/ extender is only 14W so easier to supply in other illuminated places I think. Similar video quality. I think the animal detection is better with the AI? I’m installing in a cabin that I am buying so thought that could be interesting! I’m really liking the G5 Bullet for all of the other non- AI Pro and G5 Pro locations… other than other niche G5 PTZ applications. I’m going to learn a lot from this video for when I close on the cabin.
Good stuff, bro. Probably a good idea to power off before install HD, although see you had no issue. Also what’s the reason for such a large squared opening for doorbell since its surface mounted? Great job. 👏 you need more views.
Thanks! Ha funny that you mention powering off, I did that in one of my early videos and a commenter said (paraphrasing here) "you know you don't have to turn it off first right, they are hot swap". The squared hole was to fit the back of the metal plate that sticks out (rectangular with rounded corners...I think you can see it at around the 9:49 mark)
Great video. What about a follow up or part 2 on how things are running or pros and cons now that the cameras are up and running. Install video was great but would have liked to see how the cameras look from inside the controller and some UI/UX. Thanks!
This is so helpful. One of the best instructional walk-through I’ve seen. Now you having me thinking about that three pack and 2 AI Pros. Mahalo!

Cool and congrats on the cabin!

Great idea, may do that! Solid so far though!
So jealous that you can get that Unifi kit so cheaply. Cost loads here in New Zealand.
...oh wow, really, what is the cost difference?
