I like the A90 for what it is. Nostalgia and hype from the A80 is really why it recieved so much criticism on its debut. But you can't deny that it is a great and balanced platform. Nobody likes change, when the A80 first came out it recieved criticism too. I remember that like it was yesterday and I was just a child. People saying it was ugly because it didn't have the pop up lights like the A70 and because it was a shorter wheel base than the A70 people really didn't like it as much. I remember some people saying it looked like a great value brand 550 Maranello which is pretty hilarious because I only started liking the car in the mid 90s because I thought it was the front engine Ferrari when I first saw it. If you approach the A90 with an open mind vs over hype of its predecessor you will love it even though its no longer the GT platform it once was.
I feel the change is okay but if they're going to do the change, make it good in terms of present day standards. The upcoming GRMN (not normal GR) S58 (M3 engine/B58 with stronger pistons and parts) Manual A90 with 510hp would be able to compete with it's original competitors - the R35 GTR and NSX - in stock form.
For real, my sister said it kind of looks like a 90’s car when we saw it in person. That must mean they’re doing something right, lol. Because it broke our necks and my sister isn’t even into cars.

I enjoy this car, and overall think they did a great job. Your videos on it are the reason it's grown on me so much actually. Learning why Toyota made the choices they did and why the car is the way it is, unfortunately in today's automotive world building a genuine sports car is hard for most automakers. I'm simply glad we still get sports cars like this today, and especially after seeing so many people drive them they all say the same thing, its amazing. I think overall it's a great car.

With the tuning potential factored in, it's an attractive package.
@Joseph C. well thats also the N55 variant of 335, heard N55s had a LOT more issues with stuff like that in that car. n54 variant didn't have that many issues, plus my friend has had an M235i(which is N55) for the past 2 years and daily drives it in socal and has never had an issue. just regular maintenance and its been fine. idk if you just got really unlucky or something.

brembos and most reputable bbk allow for easy/fast pad change for the track. Do not pulsate and are less prone to fade unlike two piece calipers. Brembos are far superior for endurance racing than standard two piece calipers.
It is true that Toyota built their own car for the 2020 model year. However, if it was better then why did they change everything to match what BMW offers in their cars for 2021? The 2020 Supra has a very high compression ratio(11:1) for a turbo car. However, they lowered it to 10.2 just like all of the BMW cars for 2021. So why would they revert to the BMW specs if their changes were better?
I remember them saying there'd be a 50hp bump per year(well since this year it was a 47hp bump)I guess they wanted to stay true to that so they took the same numbers that the Z4 had and were done with it. Wonder how much it'll have with the 2022 model.
@@carboydorifutoparty3976 a lotus Evora uses a Camry v6 supercharged engine, is 3200 lbs and still offers a manual while maintaining Toyota reliability and is mid engine

I have always loved this car, and supposedly it is getting a manual in the near future, so now the only thing it needs to be perfect in my eyes is a MKIV style wing
Everyting in this car is just great but 2 things... - the HEAD ROOM and VISIBILITY. I am 6'2... - getting in and out is a bit of a challenge in order not to get the ab cramps and/or hit the roof with my head. - when inside, I turn my head left, my eyes are covered by the A-pillar so I have literally 0 visibility to the side. - the center mirror and the infotainment screen are installed in such a way, that it blocks 30% of my visibility throught the front glass. - while riding the car in the twisties, I smack my head into the the A-pillar. Taking the car to a track day with mandatory helmets - nope, not gonna happen. In order to avoid all the above, I have to lower the seat to the ground, increase the back rest angle and simply lie down there. Yup, not SIT. This makes the side bolsters poke my lats and my lumbar part of the spine has to be suspended in air, which will be super uncomfortable after 30-40 minutes of ride. It was supposed to be my dream car to buy soon and after playing with the seat for over 40 minutes I gave the dream up. I feel super disappointed and my motivation is just gone.
I get why people criticize this car, but as a modified enthusiast I'm a big believer of mixing and matching to create the perfect recipe. So if Toyota was able to bring this car to the world for a cheaper price by cheating a little bit I'm totally okay with that! Plus I saw one not too long ago and I was impressed. Looks wayyyy better in person no doubt.
I HATE the red on the steering wheel. Not only does it compromise maturity, but after seeing several videos, it doesn't even look like it's the same shade of red as the interior. Definitely glad mine is all black. 👌

David, I just want to say thank you for pumping out amazing content for so long. I recently went to go rewatch the "jasmine evo" review and realized I've been watching your channel for 6 and a half years now. So thank you for showing every corner of the car community and keeping it chill
hahaahha "Ho Lee Chit".....thats funny!!!
There is a trunk release button. It’s below on the driver’s door panel. I couldn’t find it at first but there is definitely one.
A thatdudeinblue review of street speeds 1000 hp corvette zr1 would be amazing
I'm gonna try and make that happen.
Yo its crazy that ur actually there
Wooww,,this thumbnail channel looks EPIC

@@hunterrrdrives Agree!
@@hunterrrdrives nope nothing wrong with it
Lame
I actually saw a copper colored one of these cars today and looked really good in that color in my mind period
Guys are paying 70k plus for the Supra and the rear brakes aren't even brembo. Lol. Silly kids.
They start at 49k
Many $120k+ performance cars are like that now. Look up C63s or M8 etc
lmao! brembo brakes aren’t as holy and magical as you think. you mostly pay for the brand name. these engineers know what they’re doing dude
brembos and most reputable bbk allow for easy/fast pad change for the track.
Imagine being dumb enough to think this car would be bad with a boosted BMW i6 engine lol.
Imagine, Full Bolt On, E85, Tuned, Big Turbos And Ported, THAT Will Probably Be The Next GTR Killer
I don't care if the MK5 supra makes 10,000 HP. It's still a pos BMW.
Ok. Can any modern Toyotas do the same things people are doing to these?
@@carboydorifutoparty3976 a lotus Evora uses a Camry v6 supercharged engine, is 3200 lbs and still offers a manual while maintaining Toyota reliability and is mid engine
@@787blah yea but is it tunable like the mk5 and can it be used as a drift car.
@@carboydorifutoparty3976 yes it’s tuneable. The v6 Camry engine has been used for a long time so it’s nothing to tweak the ecu and tune it. And most people aren’t using a mark 5 Supra for a drift car. Most drift cars are manual just so you know
@@787blah What TFing point of putting a V6 in a vehicle that always had Straight Engines?
You can buy a Gen 2 Genesis Coupe either 3.8 or 2.0 and have maybe not the same highway pulls but enough fun on street for half the price, these cars discontinued back in 2016 and are underrated!
Too that’s where you filled the review for Nessa and Jasmine back in the day what a flashback
Looks mean with the gram lights too 😍
* Gram heavies
Not a Supra fan by any means, but I'm a BMW fan and a Japanese sports car fan.
I'm also a realist, and honestly, they did a GOOD job with this car. No emotional attachment here, the new Supra is simply excellent.
Would never own one though, I like my BMW cockpit C:
I have always loved this car, and supposedly it is getting a manual in the near future, so now the only thing it needs to be perfect in my eyes is a MKIV style wing
I’m not a fan of the automatic but I like the design of the body
I didn’t like them at 1st but they are growing on me
Everyting in this car is just great but 2 things...
Loving my 2020 only dark blue Supra on my channel. Such a great all around car.

Wheels, exhaust, and a tune. She doesn’t need much
I get why people criticize this car, but as a modified enthusiast I'm a big believer of mixing and matching to create the perfect recipe. So if Toyota was able to bring this car to the world for a cheaper price by cheating a little bit I'm totally okay with that! Plus I saw one not too long ago and I was impressed. Looks wayyyy better in person no doubt.
Sick thumbnail bro. Hella clean
I HATE the red on the steering wheel. Not only does it compromise maturity, but after seeing several videos, it doesn't even look like it's the same shade of red as the interior. Definitely glad mine is all black. 👌
