So many different techniques yet a bit of similarity. I prefer the nail cut straight across but I see some people state that you slightly curve the sides of he big tes. Is that safe.

You should always cut your nails straight across. This will prevent the risk of in growing nails.

I agree, if they are worried about the edges being too sharp you can buff those corners to soften them!
