Susie, I just had to thank you and let you know that your videos are fantastic! Thank you camera man for your hard work too. You are a fabulous team. I am not a professional and have been struggling with shaping and thickness for a while but after a lot of practice (and sets that made me want to give up) I finally got the dolphin nose and straight edge right!!! I have always had squoval nails my whole adult life and recently made the switch to almondettos. My birthday nails came out perfect this year and it is seriously because of your thorough explanation and Mr. camera man getting the right closeup shots! I did it without tips and used sticker forms- just another thing you have taught me. I can’t thank you both enough!!

@@treekitty3136 what is silk wraps? 🤭 I just file and shape the free edge into an almond shape without filing the top of my nail. That is the only tip I can give , its just filing my own nails normally and as they grow out of the desired shape I just keep reshaping them x

I have long, bony, witch fingers, (with long nail beds), and I love a stiletto nail! I feel like it positively accentuates the length of my fingers and adds flow to the movement of my hands. 🥰💅

Girl I feel you, half the time I have a beautiful set of nails on one hand & just painted natural nails on the other because my left hand just refuses to function 🤣
I HAVE A HACK FOR YOU!! do your acrylics how you normally would( on your good hand only), but use some nail oil or regular oil so your able to pop them off, then (making sure they fit) glue them onto your other hand and then optionaly file them to look perfect. and then paint!
@wioi yeah, like the whole point is to get a well adhered set of nails. And I hate nail glue, it gets everywhere and so hard to clean off. UV cured materials give you so much control and are much easier to take off But maybe try to use mostly your dominant hand? Like hold the file and move the other hand, so your non-dom will function as a file holder. And take your time with marking
you actually take your time. I got a full set of natural pink gel powder nails shaped in almond and mines was bulky around my cuticles my nails looked chucky as well. I wanted an aImond shape with a point to it not stiletto just a almond kind of point but not so pointy. I paid 65 for a mess. I had to do shaping on my own I wish I had nail stylist like you. You do an amazing job

I told her to make sure she doesn't go to just anyone because she needs a tech with experience in that to do it right. Thank you for sharing your knowledge to help others 🥰
When I see Suzie posting a new video I almost scream :p I've been learning so much with your videos! Now I do my nails and everyone else's around me. Just one thing I need to get off my chest: I really want to buy your set of files. Like really. And they are so inexpensive. However, since I live in Europe, the shipping price is almost the same as the product price, which is why I'm reticent about buying it. You need to consider having a warehouse in Europe for us dedicated fans! :) This is just a note. I love you!
Thanks Suzie! I always struggle with the muffin top when doing my own almonds. Makes sense to remove bulk from the top rather than the bottom, especially if your bottom is already aligned!

Your an amazing. You know and understand how clients wanted. The one I go to... well I went to a lot! They intended to do what they wanted instead of what the client wants. And I end up paying 80 to 100 dollars since it’s gel. And the results it’s exactly what I wanted. You should have your own nail salon here in California.

i have super long, skinny fingers, and i feel like almond is less jarring than stiletto or square. it’s like a magic shoe that fits everybody!

The dominant hand still does the work. The file in the other hand stands firm while you move your dominant hand. IMHO.
