Thanks for your input. I always remove my rings after the jars have sealed, wash and thoroughly dry each jar and ring before putting my rings back on. Haven't had a problem with rusting in almost 40 years of canning. Drying thoroughly is important, for sure!
You should take rings off your jars as they will rust over time and will make it difficult to open your jars. Trust me, I know😚
