Well done! We always try to stay at least two days prior to the cruise and consider it a vacation before the vacation. We went on the Vloggers cruise out of NOLA last year being that we are fans and followers of various "CruiseTubers" and ended up staying several days before as well as after the actual cruise to take in the attractions of New Orleans. This worked out well since mid week flights were easier and less expensive. 😊👍
Very good video. This needs more views! I just started cruising last year and got hooked. I have another booked for this September. I’ll be using this information for my many cruises to come. Thank you for sharing!
NEW SUBSCRIBER!! Wow, this is GREAT info!! I'll be a first-time cruiser and I needed to know about hotels but the info you gave about looking at Miami hotels vs Ft. Lauderdale hotels is actually going to save me money for my hotel AND my airfare!! Thank you so much!! Can't wait to see more videos from you.
Thank you! And if you have time, check out my Comprehensive Cruise Guide, which I wrote specifically for first-time cruisers: profmelissa.com/cruisingguide/
That is definitely a pro cruiser tip! We have definitely flown in and out of Ft. Lauderdale for Miami cruises. We have used private shuttles, Uber/Lyft, and the cruise line shuttle. Uber/Lyft has been the least expensive and fastest!
Yes! I always question when cruisers get so tied up in "shuttle service" and end up overpaying (sometimes a LOT) for their hotel. Just book the best hotel for you, and most affordable if you're budget-conscious, and Uber!
Thank you! I'm working on improving my audio and sound (this was just filmed on my iphone), so hopefully my future videos will continue getting better. :)
I live here in Florida and do travel videos too Dr Newman! I subscribed! I also am now following you in IG! I love the content! I'm just under over an hour and half away north from Port Canaveral and I agree Hampton Inn and Suites is a good choice! They have a walk-in pool and a pool bar too! The free breakfast is excellent. Of the 18 cruises I've sailed on all have been out of Port Canaveral except for 2 which went out of Miami. Of course I make sail as a Pirate on these fine ships! I love history and especially Caribbean history.

love your videos - it would drive me absolutely nuts to fly same day - We always fly a day or two early and stay at least a day after.
Really great video! I have definitely flown same day into Miami on that 6am flight for my cruise 😅
I just did it on my last cruise (debarked yesterday). I know the risks and I'm willing to take them. So far, so good!

Thanks. It was a slow burn at first, but is picking up! :)
Great job! A ton of great advice for us cruisers. Note to self: Avoid those Spring Breakers!
Thanks. And yes... avoid at all costs. lol

Love staying in Miami beach! Do it every time I go to Miami.
I do too, unless my flight in the day before is too late in the day to enjoy the beach. Then it's not worth the cost for me.
Very thorough and well presented. Thank you. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for the great info have a good day and safe travels 🚢⚓🌊🙏
Thanks, you too!

I'm thinking of taking Amtrak to Miami for my cruise in September can you make video about that
Hmm, I don't have any experience with that, unfortunately, but I've heard that the new Brightline is great!
Im exploring staying at a hotel near MCO before my cruise out of Port Canaveral. Any advise on that?
Yes! I have recommendations here for the Port Canaveral area and Cocoa Beach: th-cam.com/video/5xb-8HsaG8Y/w-d-xo.html
