- We all complain about "gimmick" characters these days in Smash Ultimate, but none of us ever show some respect to the ORIGINAL gimmick character: Kirby! That's why today, we're challenging our Smash Pros Marss, ESAM, and Little Z to see how many KOs they can get using Kirby's copy abilities!
(Hey, Panda Intern here. I LOVE playing Kirby but I never see any top level Kirby players using copy abilities in high level play. Is it just me? Have you SEEN how broken Min Min or Olimar Kirby is? Any top level Kirby players in the comments want to explain why they never use them so I finally get closure? Thanks)

Maybe one day, you guys could make some sort of wheel of fortune challenge where a player rolls, and can only get kills with the method they land on. For example, one player rolled “F-air,” another rolled “spikes,” and another rolled “specials.” So they each individually can only get kill points for their specific thing they rolled
TCNick3 has a whole long series on only killing with copy ability. That's probably where they got the idea.
@@tristinyaeger9222 alpharad did a stream recently where he killed with every copy ability so I'm guessing that since it's more recent

Pacman Fruit, Snake grenade, and duck hunt can are the best copies imo. My favorite being Can but grenade is close second.

No it shouldn't. You didn't kill with Neutral B, you killed with F-Smash. Even on the ingame statistics counter it would count as an F-Smash kill, rather than a Special moves kill. It isn't something up for debate.

Bell F-smash should've counted, but its ok, standings are same either way and Z also did not use bell cause he thought it wouldn't count.

Marss' first kill should have counted since it's a kill off of a copy ability, a true combo that wouldn't be possible without it

To answer the Panda intern, there are two main reasons I can think of to explain why there isn't much Kirby copy ability usage at high level.
1) It takes time and effort to learn how to effectively use each copy ability. If you've never touched Sora's copy ability for example, then trying to learn how to use it in the middle of a tournament set is very risky. It's usually only good to take the copy ability if you're familiar with it.
2) Some Kirbys just don't like taking the ability. It's a personal thing. There are some high level Kirbys that like taking the copy ability though (iirc Jesuischoq takes the ability occasionally).
This was very fun to watch and also the pandas had a good time so this challenge was perfect
